My day was to find out what position or work that I was to do for the day. Starting work mostly at Brake Press  to bend steel pieces and was trained by mostly one employee who helped me in my setting up the program needed. She was able to show me up to a certain point due to the fact she had to worry about the amount of work she produced. The workplace was great due to the fact that other people would help you in your training as much as they were allowed to do in their time slot of work they had to produce. The hardest part of the job was to set up the program for bending in the right positions. Management was helpful up to a certain point due to the fact that the manager was trying to create new job techniques with different machines being brought into the company.

This is a great place for people who need work experience and are looking for a place to work where you will be excepted by fellow peers easily. The work life balance is good for the people on the floor, but not so much if you advance. It is a fast paced environment where people are expected to give their honest days work only, and is rewarded with monthly lunches, Christmas dinners etc, and loads of high fives. The cons, for some is the pay, depending on your experience. As a supervisor, the responsibilities expected for some of the more experienced was not balanced and the responsibilities vs pay was not well balanced, leaving an unbalanced home to work life as well. Biggest con, when you go to another work place, you will miss the many friends you make here. The employees are awesome.

To be fair, I lived in Windsor while working here and highway 3 was reduced to one lane and 60km/h.
I spent 30-45 minutes each way there, spent $600/month on gas just to get there and back (V8 pick-up truck).

I liked it here, even with the heat and hard work. I imagine it would have been a very good job if I lived closer. Opportunities for overtime are there. My supervisor was awesome.

Must be physically fit. Must be able to take heat.

My only complaint is the forklift driver, he's a jerk.

Standard treatment of new workers, pushing you hard to see if you'll break/quit (it is an effective method to weed out the slackers who can't hack it, I respect it.)

Wish I would have been able to find a place to live in Kingsville... I regret leaving this job, I really liked it even though it was hard work.

Pays lower when compared to similar companies: GLs start at 15.50, welders at 16. Opportunities available if you are starting out and want to learn new skills. 
I am frequently placed doing jobs that I wasn't hired for, which I dont mind. Obviously that would be an issue for some.
Work isn't always consistent: busy times 54 hours/week, slow times 45 hours/week. Sometimes runs a night shift. 
Hires lots of contractors to fill in.
Flexible when I need to take off early for appointments/family.

The people are great and you really can learn alot in this field.

Nothing it's a great place,show up on time and your good.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very well to work with.helpful and understanding .

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very busy and never a daul moment.

Great starting place to learn and improve skills. Willing to train and are good at promoting within. Management is friendly but not always on the same page. Decent benefits, lenient in needing time off. Pay not the greatest to start but moves up quickly. A lot of different people seem to be in charge. Hours fluctuate. Sometimes really busy, sometimes bored. Paid pizza or BBQ lunches once a month. 

Applied for a job with minimal experience and they took me on as a welder trainee. I'm still learning and at times it is very hard for me, but I like the job because it interests me.
Very accepting and understanding supervisors and employees here.

Peopleo  the floor work hard, low pay. Management is confused at times how to run a company. Very financially unstable,  be careful if your looking long term. HR Manager is a lunatic that thinks she runs the company.

Good people with good Etic,,Ready to teach you all you need to fullfily your Obligations...
Be ready to work , great place great people 
 The place is actually far from where I am leaving but trust me is a good place to start from , if you are starting from scratch.

IZA has the potential to be a big player in their industry.  Management team is a list of "who's who" in the industry.  Multinataiuonal company with plants in Canada, USA, & Mexico.
