Decisions are made for the sole purpose of paying out ELTs bonuses and presenting profit to shareholders and the board of directors, no matter the negative impact on employees. 

People are constantly fired and then their replacements are hired at a fraction of the salary to cut costs. 

C-Suite members come and go like clockwork which means every time a new one starts, the "old company vision" is out and the "new company vision" is in. 

Compensation is far below industry standard and you will be told one thing then receive another. Some examples: 
- Unlimited vacation time: There is no limit on vacation but people have been fired or threatened to be fired for using "too much time off" which is an unknown amount to anyone. 
- Bonus pay: You will be promised a quarterly bonus but there is no actual formula or goal for how this is paid out. Most of the time, you'll be told you didn't receive a bonus any given quarter for "goals not being met" when no one in the company can confirm what said "goals" even are. 

Last but not least, there is exactly zero opportunity for career growth. In fact, you'll be constantly reminded how replaceable you are. 

Working at Illumin has been an eye-opening experience, and not necessarily in a positive way. Because a pattern of micromanagement suggests to employees that a manager does not trust their work or judgement, it is a major factor in triggering employee disengagement, often to the point of promoting a dysfunctional and hostile work environment. Nepotism also runs rampant within the company, with members of the CEO's family occupying leadership roles and getting special treatment. Overall, I would recommend you to avoid this company like the plague. 

I had to gather and analyze data to create reports that top bosses used for deciding the company's future, but I didn't get any proper training. I had to figure things out as I went, which was frustrating. On top of that, the bosses often asked us to work long hours without extra pay and kept changing our priorities unexpectedly, making it hard to balance work and life and do good work. Also, the company didn't seem to care much about its employees, they treated us like we could be easily replaced, and I had to work on a project that was impossible to complete. When I told the bosses, they just told me to finish it, without much concern for my well-being. 

The company is obstinate in its refusal to listen to its engineers, and this leads to a lot of frustration and disappointment. I have raised concerns with my manager about the poor quality of the silicon chips, but he has always dismissed my concerns. He says that the chips are "good enough" and that we should just "work around the problems." This attitude is unacceptable. It is not my job to work around the problems that are caused by the hardware. It is my job to write software that works well on the hardware that is provided to me. 

The employee turnover was very high here. Most people were using this job to get basic learning and then demanded a higher pay package elsewhere. The sad part is that the management knew of this strategy and how it was terrible for the workplace ambiance but didn't do anything to fix things. This lazy attitude of the upper management was awful. It meant high employee turnover continued, and the loyal employees (a few of us) were always exhausted and stressed due to excess workload and had the worst work-life balance!

The company has no ethics and values as such. Leaders know politics only, where few people suck up to the heads and make their way towards growth. Incompetent people have been given the reins and hence their insecurity is leading to an intolerable toxic workplace. If you have the slightest sense of morality or sincerity and value your life and time even for a bit, never think to join this company.

Honestly, I have never worked for a company like it. The managers are the most unprofessional, inept people I have ever had the misfortune of working with. You are told to lie to potential customers to "reel them in" because, well if you don't, then it's out the door. I left this job quickly because I could see SCAM at every turn and in every conversation. But don't believe a word that I just said here, go ahead and see for yourself. 

Acuity has an entrepreneurial culture and is full of go-getters. Environment is fun and fast paced and regardless of the position, each employee liaises with other departments and everyone is more than happy to land a helping hand when needed. C Level Executives are down to earth and make you feel like a rock star. A lot of encouragements, recognition and support.

It won't take you long to fugure out the reason for awfully high employee turnover here. The top management expects too much and pays too little. The ridiculous amount they pay is nnot even enough for a decent life for a single individual, let alone  a family. When you join this toxic workplace with tons of stress, the only question you will have is how to escape to avoid ruining your career. 

AcuityAds (ILLUMIN) has an absolutely awful and frustrating leadership. This company has a terrible work environment because of the toxic and incompetent management. The managers provide no guidance, yet they demand perfect performance from the employees. They expect us to perform well, but they don't even give us the resources we need.
