•	Receiving, processing, sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail,  and courier packages both manually and electronically
•	Maintaining address databases and producing personalized mailing
•	Printing and photocopying material
•	Weighing, calculating, affixing proper postage
•	Bundling letters, parcels, registered mail and courier envelopes by postal code or method of mailing or both
•	Operating and maintaining print shop and mailing house equipment
•	Routing mail to the proper delivery stream
•	Sorting mail according to destination
•	Signing or obtaining signatures from recipients for registered or special delivery mail and keeping records
•	Searching directories to find the correct address for redirected mail
•	Lifting and carrying boxes up to 40lbs
•	Coding and processing invoices
•	Assisting in the maintenance of stationery and supply records

I don't fine anything hard about this job and I like everything about this job.

Time management skills I acquired in dealing with my assigned job.

Learned the proper court proceedings and the details in conducting hearing and litigation in the tribunal setting.

Over all management is excellent and very professional.

I do freelance interpretation for different refugees cases .
I learn a lot about Canadian refugee System and how works the Immigration system in overall. 
I keep positive attitude and a lot of confidentiality . 
I have great co-workers and the positive decision of the member of the IRB is the most enjoyable part of the Job.

The day involves going to a hearing and interpreting what is said into English. This job requires rapt attention and continous learning. There are not many people you meet at this job because you work alone, still at breaks you can go to the lunch room and talk "shop". The work is confidential and anything you hear may not be repeated ever.

Set up legal appointments.
Photocopied documents & ensure everything is in order prior to filing.
Filed documents with Immigration & Refugee Board, The Federal Court & The Justice Department. 
Translated written documents from Spanish to English. 
Interpreted from Spanish to English and vice versa.
Sent faxes to various government departments.

Very repetitive tasks, basically no learning opportunities, and very slow growing within the organization. Good for people that want stability and no challenge, but not ideal for those wanting to grow their careers and make interesting connections at work.

A challenging but enjoyable work that needs to be without mistakes, and honest in interpreting. Most of all it has to be confidential.

It is a great organization to quick start your career and experience. However, they do not give a lot of opportunities and the posted jobs are very competitive and difficult to get in to. It may take a few years to move up to different positions.
