I was hired with a temporary license however I was promised they would put my in a course to get my training so I could take the exam and acquire my full license before it expired, this was promised the first week or so working.  In April, weeks after my license expired I was told I should spend my money and pay for my own training to which at this point, I was out of my job past the point of receiving my last cheque.  There were a few other people with me waiting to be trained as well.  

The part I liked was that there were many opportunities, many different departments to work in which I was very eager to explore.  

The mobile units were incredible people, tried to meet the needs of the guards needing to be relieved, as well as visit alarms among other of their responsibilities.

 The company is flexible with schedule and provides lot of overtime. Their are 12 hour shifts and this shift can be split according to guard availability. But the hours are only available in summer, in winter the desire site might not be available.

There is an unhealthy work environment due to unjustified rules set by management. 
For example stand for 10.5 hour in a hallway with no window and are circulation. 

The employer once open a site for country festival at Dauphin, they promised proper accommodation and good food. But after going their guards get a church basketball court as accommodation and 2 cold pizza slice as the lunch and dinner most of the time and guards cannot ask for more, company also promised all dietary accommodation but their were none. 
Overall very bad and traumatic experience. Need to improve management guard relations and provide good work environment for guard.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The system could provide enough opportunities of shift, you can work as many as you want.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Most of the shifts require long standing, you must be physically qualified.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Be punctual to shift and cooperate with colleagues. They are fantastic team.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Pick a shift and the system will give you phone call two hours before your shift, when you arrive site, you call the system and book in, start shift. Stand for two or three hours then have a break of half hour then back to shift and stand for another three or two hours, then you can have a break of 15 minutes, back to shift and continue stand for another three hours, book off.

I worked there for a year. Hours around the clock. No work life balance but pay was okay dude to the absurd hours i worked. Management was very unprofessional. Demaanding, abruptly schedule me on the few days off I got because they wanted to do something... Tattoos, events, etc but when I was sick I was told come in or find another job. When I had left I went to clock out and was told that management had told the time person to remove ally overtime. They didn't agree with it and clocked me out for the overtime that night. Just all around shady management group who didn't think people would notice small things.

Its a beginner level job for the people who wants to feel the working environment of Canada that how it feels working in Canada. I still remember the day I did my first shift. It was a NFL game shift. There were thousands of people there and I was at traffic control to manage them. I have learned how to manage such a large crowd in a safely manner. Even the management people were there to guide us what to do.The workplace culture is great as all the people whether an employer or the employee works at same level which gives a sense of equality and unity. The hardest part is the risk sometimes when you are doing a night shift at a risky place like a construction site. The most enjoyable part of this job is the flexibility of work hours.

Pay and rate is very low and takes forever with a poorly led union if you make it that far (9 months). Favoritism rules over discipline for those that are friends or family related hiring. 
Flashy patrol vehicles attract the younger guards, But wait to pay the hefty price with the vehicles eventually become dinged.,
Good weekend job for students that's about it though. Not many senior guards remaining there.

Since I was hired they keep promising things that never happened. They don't provide cargo pants to the guards. Management are careless. The benefit package is the worsts I have seen. Guards wage and management salaries are the lowest at the market. If you are mobile patroller you get to answer and respond to the alarm from a subcontracted companies. And you will be dispatched to other issues that will delay your mobile patrol runs, then you have to finish you patrols schedule, which take you more couple of hours over your shift. And you will not get paid for the over time.  Not a recommended company to work for.

whenever a shift comes up, it usually brings unexpected events but that's the most fun times. What I learned from working within this company was being alert at all times of your surrounding area, individual or thing. The management was meh at the time cause the scheduling was switched between evenings and mornings without any warning unless you call your supervisor. The hardest part of the job was probably when you have to deal with violent/ intoxicated  individuals and the most enjoyment part of this job was probably was the awesome co-workers.

Girls at main office were pretty good at handling everything thing, but at the Co-oP refinary anything from supervisors and up were very poor. I have been  blamed before multiple time for doing things that everyone does, they told me I wasn't allowed to leave 30 minutes early and told me to push back my appointment. I also received very little training but was expected to know everything and i wasn't the only one. management liked to act like tyrants. Very poor execution of safety procedures mainly evacuations. pay is also not very good

On a typical day I would meet the mobile at the location for instructions of what to do on the shift.
I had learned at Impact security that the ran a tight ship.
The management their was very friendly and courteous toward me.
The coworkers were a lot of fun to be around however when we started our work time, it became a serious time for all of us.
The hardest part of the job is to get my hours from the schedule officer.
The most enjoyable time I had there is when I came early I would talk with the human resource personal.
