Worked there for over a year before I was dismissed due to a miscommunication between supervisors to management regarding missed time due to a back injury I sustained on the job. 
Training only lasted 2 weeks and you learn more from the employees than the training. 
Safety is a "#1 priority" but yet the entire time I worked there the equipment used to assist you in transporting heavy materials and machinery was broken and replaced with manual chain-falls on a forklift roller tray, leaving you to push and lift things that are supposed to be done by machines, management dismisses any concerns brought up regarding it.
Labor is strenuous and repetitive, tools are missing or broken, the environment is hot (30°c) in the summer due to no A/C, (they pass out freezies instead) and cold (below zero) in the winter.
Pay is too low for the labor being put in by their workers. Overall stress-inducing work environment, would not reccomend.

The company Is fully lead by favorites and people they like, not by hard work and people who deserve it. You see it everywhere. If you want to be extremely underpaid, get lectured for doing something while the person beside you does the exact same thing and not get lectured for it. Constantly put down even for good work on time this is your place. MANY Issues in thus company. They go thru new hires monthly it's so bad. Avoid

When Imperial learned that my partner and family worked for a vendor they contacted the vendor and released private information about myself and my partner, and attempted to leverage my employment at Imperial in order to gain preferential treatment.  Refusing to apologize Imperial believed that this was a fair business tactic.

This is just one example of the consistently unprofessional conduct that I've experienced while working for Imperial.  

Depends on your dept In the department i worked management was poor and really had no idea what was going on as he isn't qualified to know any better. Believe nothing HR tells you if you got to the HR dept with a problem they will repeat what you told them HR is a joke at best. This was my experience .
The owner seems like a very nice guy i guess he to far removed to know wht happens there. 

Get ready to be work under stress during peak seasons as more tasks waiting on order to be completed in the shortest time period & during summer time you could get a heat stroke while working in the plant as there's no A/C at all. Overall nothing new & don't put high hopes to anything at all while working with this company.

-Benefits are better than most.
-Mostly supportive when it counts
-An ongoing lack of communication between management. 
-Extremely labor intensive (Soft tissue injury very common and typically require Psyio)
Wages aren’t at par with other Manufacturing plants although they are working on it. 




The management team at Imperial is awesome! Such a friendly, approachable and family orientated environment. Imperial is dedicated to their employees and the community. Nice to be a part of a wonderful team.

I have worked at Imperial for about 5 and a half months and I can see that I'm happy with my experience at imperial.

I have learned new things, met some cool people and enjoyed my overall work experience.

1. Management are easy to talk with.
2. Production 95%manual handling.

3. Production process is prone for body pain due to manual labor.
4. Low salary compared with other companies.

It is an alright job except you never are certain of your hours in the week or your pay for that matter but they are flexible with your needs of days off if your like me and have a child
