I was given a chance when we moved from Vancouver to work in the Accounts Dept.  I was responsible with reconciling  Monthly Parking daily transactions cash, credit & debit cards, preparing cheque payments to local vendors, assisting Customer Service Representative in handling customer’ complaints, billing and enquiries.   Downloading bank statements from HSBC to our main system for daily reconciliation.   Downloading  meter reports for parking from all our meter machines, transfer to our main system and print the same on daily basis.   Help and coordinate with the Assistant Controller  during month end so as to finish our monthly reconciliation on time.   Handling incoming telephone call enquiries, parking lot problem as well as filing reports, documents for Accounts Departments.   Imperial Parking was one of the best company I've worked since we were in Vancouver.  The management were good, our boss was very accommodating and we were treated very well.  the reason why I left was they centralised their Accounts dept in Vancouver and they wanted me to transfer to customer service.  I decided to find another job for my advancement.

The typical work day is a combination of field work and inside the office work, so it's not boring. You get an opportunity to work in a wide range of fields in the service operations management, so that experience you gain from there is very valuable. Even though you perform well, there are no enough opportunities in there if you do not get the chance to work for the right manager (they look down on immigrant managers, so if you work under them, you have lesser chances to get your performances evaluated). In fact, you get bullied by the middle management if you are in an entry-level management position (only if you have an accent). Therefore, the hardest part of the job is tolerating unacceptable gestures and taunting from your middle management. Despite, the most enjoyable part of the job is still you get a chance to work with some hard working union employees and various kind of customers.

Fine job.  Horrendous leadership that belittles and gaslights staff and ignores serious safety issues until critical or something happens and then blames staff for not raising said issues "properly" goes apoplectic/nuclear if you start reporting said issues with a digital/paper trail.

Talking/communicating to customers is what my job is all about. From this I get to practise my interpersonal skills allowing me to work and talk to people all day. Over all the I have been working at the airport with this job and have enjoyed it. Now i would like to try something different.

The work environment for Impark is okay, but the co-workers make it bearable, The management is meh IT is horrible they promote internally but being friends with your superiors is a plus if you want to get promoted.

Fun workplace to be in. Not so good salaries. always hiring in low level position, but the quality of management is poor. ?Use to be a better company a few years ago, since then they cut hour salaries and bonuses.

Worked there for 3 years, thoroughly enjoyed my time there. My manager was very pleasant to work with, had an open door policy and was always willing to assist. Only left because there were not competitive salary-wise, otherwise it was amazing. 

Company is somewhere you can see yourself for years with many opportunities for advancement.
Family friendly environment and a good working environment to be in. Its nice to work for a company that appreciates its employees and treats all evenly.

Day is good and interesting- many things to learn management helps you understand and learn and perform. Overall 9/10. Management also allows you to make you understand basics and being ptient

I was at Impark as a temp in the Accounting Team downtown Calgary. The team helped me develop my skills and were extremely friendly and approachable. I will always have find memories of working alongside the Accounting team and controller.
