What is the best part of working at the company?
I finally got to work in the area I love: Wound Care Nursing.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lack of proper administration.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Many workers are very cooperative with each other, making it a better work environment.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It is hectic, as I get there half an hour before the shift starts to be able to finish everything I need to do and I leave half an hour after the shift ends to finish the things I have to.

Over the course of 5 years I learned alot.The one thing I am greatful for was the opportunity to work in such a clean and pleasent place.I enjoyed the residents even formed a few close relationships. Outside of that I learned about satelite meals and therapeutic diets I learned how to do laundry with commercial machines and use an auto scrubber on the floors.I liked my job at Ina but as for the management it was horrible there was no such thing a confidentiality for the workers or the residents.

- On a typical day, I would meet with my supervisor (the facility's recreation manager) who would assign me a list of tasks for the day
- Tasks included one-on-one visits with residents, planning and facilitating my own recreational programs, aiding with other recreational programs, assisting residents in eating their meals
- Management was friendly and would always assist me when i asked for help
- The most enjoyable part of the job was building rapport with residents and getting to know them and their needs

Employees need to review the definition of the word"Care" and the Residents Bill of Rights.
A lot of angry and unpleasant staff members who use their seniority.
Wondering why they are doing this job.
Toxic environment not equal for all staff.
 Management needs to step up and acknowledge those issues!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good environment respecting everyone as it’s

Heavy workload for PSWs, don’t dare ask management for help. No air conditioning, they don’t even fold the laundry, that’s another task for the PSW. Residents care is rushed because the workload is impossible.

Although Ina grafton gage home is taking care of the elderly, there is so much that is not being done and being looked over. The is no accountability for wrong actions from staff and situations get pushed under the rug.

I like working there. I enjoy my work and I enjoy bringing a little sunshine and help to the residents. Helping them in any way I can.It could be bathing, dressing, eating or just sitting and chatting about the things that are currently happening in the world or just in the residents life.

The Management Team are always looking to work along with all frontline staff to ensure implemented strategies to improve staff morale and work on providing a positive environment for our residents who reside at IGGH as well as all staff who are employed.

I really miss working there but I moved across Canada to be close to family. It sucks that they don't have a facility out here in B.C for my to transfer to. I completed my schooling thanks to them allowing me to do my co-op there during school.
