The job itself isn’t that bad, it’s the “recent” none support from HR and newer management that can make a person question if they truly want to work for the company anymore.  The moneys honestly there now, it wasn’t before, but it is now. What’s not there is the company’s backbone that’s almost none existing, leaving basic employees there to guess and defend for themselves and face the rather foolish consequences that may follow.  Overall if you play your cards right and keep to yourself for the most part you would have a 3 star type of time there but not much higher. 

Jobs easy enough, lack of training in any sort of area except being shown once and expected to replicate perfectly.

Will gladly punish new people for mistakes tenured employees get away with all the time

If you call sick or not come in when asked because you have prior commitments or emergencies you get treated as if you're not a helpful person and don't value the job by management 

Only real benefit was the pay and co-workers to an extent, not for anyone with health issues or inability to work nights

I've always enjoyed working here.  Yes!  It has had it's share of "ups and downs", but which job doesn't?  If you want to be recognized for the good things in your work DO good things in your work!  Take the effort to better yourself and it will be recognized!

Is it for everyone?  Probably not!  Most of the people that have left this place have either a) moved on into another role within the JDI umbrella or b) didn't "cut the mustard!"  Again what kind of work you put into it is what will be noticed!

They are the most caring company and people around,really make you feel like family

If you communicate with management there is no stress 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very good work environment and healthy culture 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy busy but rewarding , you are always told when you’re doing above and beyond your work doesn’t go unrecognized

Many people get hired and do not take the job seriously. The shifts are 10-12 hours and you are assigned overtime if you don’t volunteer for it . 


Some assignments will give you unrestricted access to water and washrooms while others will have you waiting for extended times . 

Multiple schedules come out every week and depending what position you work you may be made to work overtime.

Many positions have you working alone .

HR is hypocritical and engages in gaslighting, choosing to outsource issues to third parties or terminating you for speaking up.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Terribly, typically, systemic 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful. NOT the good kind! So large that you don't matter as an individual.

If you want a job with no union, no days off, told you will be assigned shifts on your days off, cut when your late and not told it, up to five schedules a week come out, some posts have no running water or toilets and told can you wait,do a 12 hr shift then told you have to stay your relief is late, in bad storms your expected to get in while hr and acso who used to make donuts before this are an absolute joke well this job is for you.

I like who I worked with and being busy

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Sometimes too busy for one person

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It was pretty good   I would go back

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Paperwork, security checks, helping truck drivers weight in and out

If you are looking for a career keep looking , while the hours are plentiful you have so many deductions that you will hardly clear 600 a week. Have a ton of experience, don’t think you will be compensated for it. 

No lunch breaks 

Want a vacation, sorry they’re short staffed 



Industrial was a great place to work. I was hired on temporarily for a Refinery Turnaround and once all the work was done there, there was no position available for me, so I was laid off.
