The department faces an exceptionally high turnover rate, and it's easy to understand why. Favoritism is prevalent, affecting everything from shift assignments to promotions.

Only a chosen few are allowed the benefit of full-time remote work, while others are limited to hybrid schedules or full-time office presence, even though remote work is generally discouraged — unless you’re a favorite with HR and management.

Opportunities for advancement and growth are not possible due to the department's small size, leaving most employees to just gain experience and move on shortly after. It's telling that many past employees don’t leave on good terms.

Communication is another persistent issue. Reaching others is challenging, and poor coordination across departments negatively impacts productivity and morale on a daily basis.

The customer service team is often treated like servants by other departments, with management failing to set clear boundaries, furthering the lack of respect.

Finally, don’t expect much from an exit interview with HR. My concerns were repeatedly ignored, making the exit interview feel pointless and insincere.

Moreover, there’s only ONE HR representative, which should be a warning sign. They tend to shift responsibility when it's inconvenient for them to address your concerns, making them unreliable in addressing serious concerns. And if the HR rep is unavailable, concerns are simply ignored all together.

The Negatives:
- Terrible working conditions (no heat in the winter, gas leak, broken desks/chairs, 5 toilets in the entire building, construction/demolition/painting completed while you're working, not enough parking, poor ventilation, uneven concrete floors, make shift walls as barriers between departments)
- Low pay and expensive benefits (no vision care)
- No RRSP matching/contributions or pension
- No short term disability
- Remote work was frowned upon (unless you were liked by upper management)
- Poor management (they hire/promote their friends and/or the people they "like", inappropriate comments were a regular occurrence, and they make lots of promises with no follow through)
- New hires were treated like royalty, while the veterans did all the work and were treated like dirt
- HR is useless and cannot be trusted at all
- No one was held accountable for their actions/errors
- High turnaround

The Positives:
- Some great people worked there
- Free monthly lunch
- Free parking (if you could get a spot)
- No dress code

I enjoyed my peers at innova but otherwise there are little to no perks working for this company. Health benefits are poor (and expensive!) and don't even include vision, how ironic. There is poor heating, ventilation and lighting. There is too many staff members and not enough space.  Getting a washroom without waiting in a line up is a rarity.  Needless to say the work environment is far from comfortable. Salaries are at the lowest end of the bracket and raises are minimal. They are not accommodating and there is obvious favouritism when decisions are made. There are no bonuses or incentives working for this company although you do get a free lunch once and a while

I worked in QC. Management there is amazing but their hands are tied most of the time. Every decision made is from the head office in toronto and here's the problem. They don't have a clue what's the reality in QC office and they step up to much (and its rarely good productive moves). If QC office was totally independant, it would be much better for the compagny, the employees and mostly for the customers. I would not say do not work there but there is DEFINATLY place for improvement. Toronto just have to listen to QC a little more and give them more freedom.

Building has poor heating, cooling and lighting systems. 
Multiple power outages, including gas leaks. 
Management is incompetent - completely absentee, knows little about their departments and responsibilities, shares confidential information about their employees with other employees, cannot be trusted. 
They are not willing to work with your personal life and obligations. 
New employees are treated far better than veterans, very disappointing. 
Their last ditch effort is by doing a monthly lunch which doesn't translate to much.

•	Maintain a client base not only to keep existing clients but also to build new client.
•	Identify client’s business needs and provide effective solutions to help satisfy needs.
•	Install and maintain ophthalmic equipments.
•	Up selling based on knowledge of products and clients needs.
•	Train clients on product functionality
•	Provide technical solutions after troubleshooting. 
•	Provide client satisfaction.
•	Build and maintain great client relationships.
•	Provide creative technical solutions and supports for ophthalmic and computer systems.

Great place to start out and grow, not a career company. Some wonderful people have worked there who have left to move onto better opportunities. There are many attempts by the middle and upper management to provide social gatherings to promote unity. But at the end of the day, when one's position is not given its deserved worth, working for INNOVA becomes merely a job, not a career path. Hopefully the HR at this company can work on ironing out these kinks with more time and new talent.

Innova was a good place to work because the work is very task oriented thats keeps your day moving quick. It is a good place for those who wants to be quick and multi taskers. Management was cooperative and there are daily early morning meetings for an update. Coworkers were really helpful and always felt great team work.
Good working environment, free lunches, parties

Management gives you an ability to work independently, providing guidelines, based on a project. Recently launched an online learning center, where employees can get more training on multiple things like products/processes/communication guidelines. 
Depending on a department, it is a good work environment.

The building is not heated properly in the Winter.  There are numerous black outs, gas leaks, heating issues, etc. The maintenance expenses are constantly ignored - and employees are left to suffer.  Those who complain or try to improve the situation are often mistreated or pressured to keep quiet.
