This place is great... if you know people in the right places. Good luck having any meaningful advancement otherwise. A person without a college degree, skills, or experience will have a reasonable amount of success if they can play the teacher's pet (hence the positive reviews). The incompetent management appears to be threatened by thinkers, and will easily gain the confidence of the sheep by bribing them with Tim's and other such phony kindness. 

I worked there for two years and gave my everything, which amounted to absolutely nothing. My university degree, skills, and intelligence were wasted in such a place. After I left, I learned from an insider that, for over a year, I qualified for a promotion, and that it was my manager who was personally blocking the process. They built a whole case against me to make sure that I would never get ahead, and instead hired more docile individuals. 

That place actually gave me self-esteem issues, as I believed that I wasn't doing good enough. I now know better, of course. Ever since leaving, I've been making twice as much money as what I used to make there, my skills and intelligence are actually appreciated, and I get to travel to places far more exciting than Ontario.

In retrospect, the only positive thing about having worked at Innovapost is that it was so bad that it gave me the motivation to go out and take what I deserve. Never had I seen an office filled with people so unhappy to be there that they weren't but empty shells. Oh, how I don't miss how sad it was in there even on the shiniest of summer days!

I've been with Innovapost for six years and over that time I have met a lot of great and talented people.  That has shifted lately and now the management structure seems petty and less enabling and more micro-management.  I've seen a lot of really talent people leave and few of them have been replaced.  I have had issues lately that have been brought to upper management and HR and I have found that both of these are inadequate.  

I spent time trying to understand the role of my manager and when I sought out the job description for the position I found that that did not exist and HR directed me to my manager to tell me what their position is. 

There are some great things about Innovapost, one of them being the amount of charity that the organization and employees give.  It is more significant by far that most places I have been employed.  This has been going on for years and hopefully it continues, but I fear that may be in decline with rising stress levels within the workplace.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Challenging work, strategic client thinking and great people both internally, supplier relationships and  clients. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Client delivery expectations and financial targets (clients always expecting more for less on price at times sacrificing value. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Client is right, employees are valued. Life and work balance value is hard to meet. Client comes first. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
In service management’s role, client issue need to be resolved no matter what. At times means late days and weekends. Very pressure packed.

Answer user calls and responds to customer incidents and problems, Create and resolves trouble tickets according to service level agreements, Transfer tickets to other teams as required for resolution or escalates to Team Lead or Supervisor as needed, Follow up with customers to validate that the issue has been resolved, Work with support team(s) to resolve tickets as require, Document employee questions, concern, or issues with technical applications, Assist employee with resolving technical questions or concerns, Maintain and or exceed Service Level Agreements (SLA) for resolving tickets, Follow up with employees to ensure technical questions or concerns are resolved, Provide Positive, clear, communication written and verbal.

The move from waterfall to agile has not been well executed due to:
- heavy process overhead, 
- lack of hiring and retention of permanent staff to support the required number of dedicated teams
- lack of dedicated scrum rooms needed to support all the initiatives in flight

That said, the collaborative environment, hardworking/intelligent/friendly employees, casual dress code and (if you choose to enforce it) potential for work/life balance makes it worth working there.

We embarked on a major transformation program. Amazing how all the people came together and supported each other through this incredibly complicated work. 
At the end of the program changes in leadership led to even more change for the entire company. Too much change in too short a time. People not sure what was happening. New management not up to task. Very top heavy. No opportunity to contribute to overall direction of the company. Every decision is made at the very top and pushed / forced on the organization. A lot of good quality people have left and morale is now very low.

The most enjoyable part is we keep the same pace even in most difficult situations like resolving an issue.

At the interview I was promised low politics, work-life balance, and no sales work just technical stuff.

After a year, none of those had been honored at any time. I was very relieved to resign and depart. Several other highly skilled people left around the same time. Everyone I know that left got a better job.

There are some good folks there, and a lot of bad ones.

Sorry, but this place is not as-advertised...be very careful at your interview.

Had to honor building owners standarts and keep client happy also
and act in a profesional manner. 

Insure employee break areas were cleaned and stocked .
Washrooms cleaned and maintained during my shift , report any maintenance required and fix anything that had skills to do myself .

Escort contractors and clients when needed .

I have been with Innovapost over 10 years.  In the beginning the culture was amazing.  I actually looked forward to coming to work..that slowly changed with the changes in upper management.  We used to be a company that did alot in the form of fundraising for worthy causes but that is slowly disappearing with the change in culture.  Some days it feels like I am back in high school.  The groups are ever present.. The popular kids, the nerds and the kids that get bullied...
