While employed at Inovatec for 2 years, they had batches of layoffs every few months so I knew it was a matter of time before my role would be impacted. 
They enjoy prioritizing meeting deadlines over quality, leading to dissatisfied customers and lost clients. 
Management takes no responsibility for shortcomings and puts all the pressure on employees to make up for their incompetence.
They asked me to document how I perform my entire role and then removed me, I'm assuming now that they have the how-to guide they can delegate my role to other employees instead of paying me. 
I'd asked during my interview about the future prospects of the company financially as I would be leaving a secure job to join Inovatec. I was told not to worry as they're profitable and successful. Turns out they aren't.
They're constantly hiring more project managers despite laying off project managers every quarter.
They laid off several project managers because they were not a "good fit". Instead of working with you and providing guidance and feedback , they'll lay you off in the next layoff cycle. 

Great work culture and good office environment. The team is open and friendly. 

The managers have extensive experience in the software lending industry so it is a great place to learn and grow. They lead by example and they work hard. There is quite a few times I saw my manager coming in early and leaving late in the office. However, there is no pressure for you to work late. There is weekly meeting to help you stay connected to the team and understand the leadership and company direction. 

I never thought I would plan to stay in this industry but the learning experience the company has provided makes me curious and want to improve myself. 

Inovatec is a well run company that is great at communicating to employees their role in the company and how it contributes to the success.  There is transparency and accountability throughout the company and you truly feel valued as an employee and a person.  The company truly lives its core values.

Management is very knowledgeable and approachable.  They trust their employees, and always support them.  Employees have development and growth plans, and can partner with a mentor as well to help you advance your career.

The team works well together and always sets aside time to help with any issue.  There are also many team building events.

Overall a fantastic group of people and a fantastic place to work.

Inovatec is still run by the company founders; and is now expanding from Canada into the U.S. Typical of growing tech companies, it's not an easy place to work - but lots of opportunities if you like to help solve real problems (i.e., how do you prioritize customers' issues; how do you improve the processes used to get things done). Company is divided between B.C., Serbia and distributed people across North America.

Leadership is very clear in their directions. They use methodology identify key objectives (Rocks) by team member within the next 90 days. 

Unlimited opportunities for growth and learn new skills. Everyone is eager to help and take ownership. Common goal to delivery on our promises to our clients.


A typical work day is never slow, there are always tasks to complete or progression to be made on larger projects.

Learning everyday, as I am new to the IT career field I am learning new things daily and the team takes the time to properly teach. 

Management genuinely cares, and while they expect a little too much out of you at times, they actively communicate and work to improve.

A growing company with lots of opportunity for people who take initiative. Flexibility to work remote, inclusive workplace.

A culture of making things happen, continuous improvement, and rewards based on this. People who care about results and doing a good job do very well here for their careers. I've been here several years and have had promotions in that time and have seen the same for others.

If you’re looking to fly under the radar just to coast this is probably not the place for you.


Inovatec is a fast paced place to work at. Inovatec loves to be on the cutting edge of technology, which is great as it gives you an opportunity to continuously learn and grow. The employees at Inovatec really make the company. Everyone seems to get along great and just a great atmosphere. 

As with most face paced workplaces there is sometimes a high workload, which sometimes means long hours. This is something management is aware of and is continuously working to improve. 

Can’t say enough about Inovatec.  I feel privileged to be part of such a fantastic team and a company that continues to grow.  Best in class products, technology and a culture that allows us to learn and improve at every stage of the growth.

Insane turnover, not in touch with employees, constantly over promising and under delivering to clients. Employees are overworked and not appreciated. Entire organization is struggling and disorganized, all of which comes from the CTO, top down. Zero transparency.
