What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
If your not from a few small towns in Alberta then your an outsider

This company is very good on management and employee caring, however, it is not multicultured company. It is not a company for all, but for relatives. As a result it is quite hard for strangers to adapt with employees of family. A uniqe employee is singled out for any bad situations that may happen.

Not much to say other than this place is awful.  No HR, no employee engagement, no positivity.  The environment is toxic, the people are paranoid and the management is non-existent (unless on the golf course).  Stay away if you have any sense of integrity and self worth.

The culture of the office is not one that promotes growth and learning. It’s a toxic environment with a limited knowledge base that isn’t interested in learning from their mistakes. Good luck dealing with the management.

Good company to work for. Workers are paid fairly, benefits are above average and the work is consistent. ICT also supports the apprenticeship program. 

lots of ladder climbing, lots of bending makes this job hard and challenging. You can not move up with this company fast but you can work lots . Most of the work is out of town

It's a good place to work. I do not have much to compare with. this has been a good place for me however long I was here. Every company comes with it's downsides. This one too.

Work crews are always good. Lots of travel to camps and hotels. Good pay and RRSPs. Room for advancement for hardworkers. Management always tries to accomodate your needs

Excellent workplace culture, and heavy focus on safety. Mostly out of town, but has a great union benefits package with the ironworker union despite being carpenters
