This place needs an overhaul of upper management ASAP.  
 
Used to be a decent place to work. Now all they care about are numbers and don't listen to Employee feedback. Employee morale at an all time low. Most people feel like they are not valued by the company. 

More effort is made to bring in new people vs retaining long term , knowledgeable employees. 

Hours are cut at employer's convenience. Also upper management gives no control in decision making to middle management, making it next to impossible for anything constructive to be done. 

Some employees are protected by management , being allowed to bully and degrade others. If they are productive and management likes them they get away with this behaviour. 

If this place continues to be ran as is, the future is grim to say the least.

This is the worst place that I have worked and I've been here for a but 2 years now. They don't care about there employees or else they might actually make some changes to how they run. The shift work they do is horrible for anyone's mental health(not that they care about anyone's mental health except maybe there own.) The management they have doesn't do anything helpful/useful for its employees on the floor, i also dont recommend learning anything new as if you learn skills of other jobs that pay more they will ask you tp do those jobs without paying you what the actual job pays and will pay you what you make with your main position.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There is nothing good about working here. It is unorganized, managers are rude and every machine is broken and unsafe. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The managers are rude and expect far too much from workers. The equipment and machines are in constant disrepair and management tells you to go faster and do more constantly even when you can’t because of the condition of the building. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic. There are clicks of old people that worked there for years and don’t want younger people to take their jobs so they actively train them poorly. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful and I wanted to kill myself after alevery shift. I was tired sore and angry every day.

Extremely toxic workplace. Most of management has self-absorbed cliquey attitude, and are disrespectful and arrogant towards workers. Supervisor is known to bring personal issues into workplace and ignore issues among employees; especially if issue revolves around long standing employees. Schedule is exhausting and will often be changed on very short notice at much inconvenience to many employees. Employees rushed into job with little attention to proper training. Poor equipment upkeep. Issue’s with theft among employees. 

My experience as a maintenance mechanic at intertape Polymer Group was probably the best work experience of my life so far. The only reason I left was because it is so far from where I live in Halifax. The people are great and easy to get along with, Brett, the maintenance supervisor is easily the best boss I've ever had, and the work is interesting and extremely varied. This is the perfect place to learn as an apprentice millwright because every piece of equipment you could want to wolearn to work on is used in the plant.

Very little paid time off compared to other jobs. 3 days vacation per year and you pretty much have to save them incase they want to shut the plant down for a week in the summer. 
12 hour shifts with day night rotation is nice if you’re single and live alone but otherwise is pretty miserable trying to balance a life schedule and a work schedule.
The work is very manual and repetitive, you’re on your feet most of the time.
Coworkers are typically egotistical and management is very unorganized.

The management was horrendous and if you were part of their click you were fine, staff allowed people/operators to treat their crews like garbage..The operation manager came to the floor only to write you up or to provoke an argument..If you didn't show up and did nothing you were rewarded versus trying everyday..when you do what everyone else is doing you get fired while they continue on since I didn't hangout with the bosses outside of work..made many friends though who were all suffering from the rules and management and lack of money for their efforts

This company used to be a good place to work. We had holidays off with our family, summer shutdown, and Christmas shutdown. Now, the only days we are shutdown are Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Years Day...that is it. They just did a new attendance policy where arriving late, or missing work due to weather is considered unexcusable/culpable. They also consider leaving early to attend a special event for your child, as....unexcusable. The employees are treated like numbers, not people. The work is hard and the revolving shift work leave no room for family life, or healthy living..

What is the best part of working at the company?
There is no best part of working here. 
Managment dont care about your input or amything you say. 
HR doesnt care about you amd will fire you for nonsense.  And the plant manager has no idea what hes doing. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The people on the floor are 30-50 and bullys.

VERY STRESSFUL . Will cause you anxiety.

Stressful. Tiring. Hard. Nonsense
