Unable to accommodate bookkeeper and accountant needs with the software. Companies communication amongst staff and management is terrible and minimal. Software updates and changes occur without Intuit notifying staff. 

Technical staff working in outsourced departments are not treated the same and must consult Intuit as a middle step between every action taken. Escalated matters from outsourced departments are left unattended and unresolved for months while escalations submitted by bagded Intuit staff are handled in timely manner.

Have submitted multiple requests for months to provide testing material to outsourced departments, as Intuit provides work phones, work ipads and test printers and computers to their staff in order to re create software issues using these tools, yet outsourced departments still do not have the QuickBooks application installed on their computer and are forced to troubleshoot by memory as opposed to providing material they may view on the phone with their customers.

Intuit was also unaware of the tax rate change for New Brunswick recently. Upon questioning the engineers as to why the new tax amount was not updated in the newer software, they had advised that they were completely unaware of this change and did not have a "compliance resource" to inform them of these updates - yet we claim to design the software with accountants. 

Currently work here, would not recommend to anyone.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Great people and truly supportive teammates. No one is ever left behind, and whenever you get stuck, help is provided immediately. I also appreciate that every newcomer gets shadowing from someone more experienced at the beginning.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Toward the end of tax season, everyone’s role is abruptly shifted to phone support. It’s stressful to be on calls all day, providing both tax and technical assistance simultaneously. I also didn’t appreciate that there was no alternative if you wanted to qualify for the bonus.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
People are generally very helpful, and there are plenty of opportunities to learn across a wide range of tax topics. The absence of corporate drama, jealousy, or competitiveness was genuinely refreshing.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
100% remote. You’re provided with a laptop and a monitor if needed, and everything comes preloaded or with clear setup instructions. The onboarding process was easy and straightforward. However, the training felt far too long and not tailored to the specific role I was hired for, which made it overwhelming.

It was my first job and I am really thankful to the managers to allow me to have  a chance to work there with them. It was a completely different experience for me and every day I learned something new. There was work stress sometimes but I loved working there. The manager  was a really good person and also very helping. My work started at 9 am and used to end at 5 pm. My colleagues were very helpful and nice. There i learned how to talk with clients, how to handle the situation no matter how worse it is.I learned how to brainstorm and find out the root of the problem to solve it. I also learned that there is always a way to solve problems.  There was no hardest part of the job since I believe there is always something new to learn and there is always a new way to solve a problem in an easy way. The most enjoyable part of the job was whenever I used to solve a problem for a client and realize that they were happy with my service, it was more like an inner satisfaction for me to be able to do the job I was assigned to do.

It's ranked as one of the top workplaces in Canada, and it really is great. They treat their employees incredibly well and genuinely care a lot about them. People are very friendly and pleasant to work with.

Salary may not be very high, but benefits and miscellaneous perks are really good. For example, they provide access to gym, free massages, there are multiple free lunches during events, free snacks everyday, and there is great food served really cheap in the cafeteria every day (menu changes every day). There's also a table tennis table, a pool table, foosball table, gaming consoles in the recreation area and multiple lounges. There are also other benefits provided to permanent employees (I'm just on contract), related to medical, mental health, dental, fitness etc.

Great tech company that truly lives by in its mission and values. Promotes startup culture and really a career enriching experience for design techies. Great branded company for your early career. For other BUs there is still guesswork going on how to run the business. Some functions get dumped with too much responsibilities and work criminally long hours with the same pay & benefits while many others just get away doing nothing and get even heavier paychecks. Heavy meeting culture where people love to host unproductive meetings throughout the week leaving those with actual job to do with very little time to get things done. I hope this all changes one day and Intuit starts addressing their internal problems.

Prepared personal tax returns of families and individuals
Types of returns included but not limited to small business, rental income, investments, foreign income, shares, capital investments gains and losses, etc.
What I did not like was when I would run into a file and have questions, it could be difficult to find someone to run different scenario through.
Interacting with customers to provide them with an optimum return on their tax return was always great.
Working virtually was enjoyable.
As the Federal Government extended the tax deadline, I was one of the few that were requested to stay during the extension.


stay away from taking a position on their Mississauga Care team.

the current manager is a micromanaging guru and uses intimidation and fear to motivate his staff. I am speaking from personal experience and am not the voice of a bitter ex employee who got fired or laid off - I quit after finding something better.

If you apply for a job in Sales, Marketing, Product or some other department then you're set as its a great place to work. Just dont take a job in Care... not to mention they are always outsourcing Care (customer service / tech support) jobs to smaller outsourcing centres within Canada to be able to stand behind providing support from within Canada.

For 10 years every day has been different.  The company has been on a journey from a boxed software producer to the creator of a cloud-based ecosystem of solutions for small businesses and tax payers.  

Amazing corporate culture with fantastic benefits.  However, outside CA room for advancement is limited.  The recent consolidation of all Canada-focused roles to the Mississauga site has meant a significant loss of experience and talent in Canada.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The amazing Team.  Everyone works hand in hand.  Troubleshooting together.  Team is supportive.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Some files can be quite complex,  however you are never left alone with it.  The great team work makes it possible.

Responsibilities include checking daily emails, reviewing clients files, processing migration, further reviewing files

Not a bad place to work, overall, the benefits were good.  The employe culture was great.  However, Intuit lied to it's entire telesales team.  

The telesales team was laid off in September of 2013.  The company knew they were moving the sales team to Mississauga yet told all Edmonton employees they were moving to a new location in Edmonton in October 2013.  They made this announcement in early 2013 all the while knowing they were laying off the telesales team.

One of Intuit's core values, 'Integrity Without Compromise' was broken by the company itself.
