Inventa

Inventa is a marketing company hired by brands to spread knowledge about the brand’s focused message to consumers. In my time there I worked for Subway through Inventa, Subway changed their slogan from “eat fresh” to “make it your way” and launched an innovative app as well. I worked for months to promote Inventa, wether it was in the office or in the streets handing out coupons, subs or subway gear. One of my most successful ventures was creating a Subway Alberta instagram account that reached over 2000+ followers, this was done in an effort to apply a company like Subway into the social media game to gain a younger audience.

I had fun working here.

The coworkers were great, event work was fun, and the pay was good for workers. It was a fun experience overall. However, there were some notable drawbacks. Management promised to have schedules farther in advance and it didn't usually happen. The multi-event setup got pretty complicated and tiresome. Accommodations for trips were also hit and miss. It all depends on the program however, as others have it much easier. Sometimes, the programs are fairly laid back while getting similar pay. Just really consider the program you're applying for.

The experiential and events industry is always fast paced and evolving, so the work can be long - but that is not unexpected.  The company provides the opportunity to take advantage of down time when available. Appreciate that the senior management and present and engaged in the business.

I enjoyed my time with Inventa and still occasionally do work for them when I am able. It was very much like an agency, they would present work to us, and if we were able to, we took part.

Great place to learn and grow within the company. Management is very supportive and helpful. Owners are still around and very approachable, learn your names and get to know you. The office started expanding once I was hired.

8 hour shifts, with fun co-workers. Management was on point. Hardest part of the job was being on my feet for long hours but it was manageable. Most enjoyable part of the job was meeting and interacting with so many different people.

One of my first jobs and enjoyed the fast past environment of this position. Downtown life and always on the move.

This job was a little challenging when recruiting for new candidates which made it a little frustrating.

Overall love this company and this job.

Working at this establishment for over a decade and the owners did not know who i was. Their clients knew who i was but alas not the office staff. when asking for advancement due to my breadth of knowledge, loyalty i was denied.

Most interesting, creative and challenging company I've worked with thus far.  Every day was an adventure at Inventa!  The HR position in such a company really challenged me to use creative thinking in my career.
