I would never ever recommend this job to anyone! It’s like forced labour at this job! No matter how fast you go, it is never good enough! If you are a regular Canadian citizen you will be treated with so much disrespect!Also the pay is a complete disgrace! Minimum wage! And they have the audacity to act like they are paying you top dollar an hour when in actuality it is only minimum wage! If the Hr person and the Floor supervisor don’t like your face or demeanour then they will find any way to get you fired! Mark my words! You have no way of defending yourself towards management because the HR person and Floor Supervisor are best friends, so if you are the new person on the line, you are not holding any cards, so to speak! If they profile someone or should I say, pick on someone, they will keep on doing it, to feel like big shots! Also if you are a new employee, the other employees treat you with total contempt! The company doesn’t give you a chance to prove yourself! When they fire a person, they don’t even give a proper reason as to why they want you out! Only that “ you weren’t a good fit!” Which that could mean anything! If I could give a rating out of 5 I  would give it a complete zero! So as a warning to anyone who is a hard worker and needs a job asap, do not take this job, you will only be very disappointed and stressed out! You will be fired or forced to quit! 

I supervise a great crew , I have developed a great working relationship with my crew and management. The hardest part of the job is the shift(straight nights including saturday nights and holiday weekends) I am responsible for production and Sanitation which can be challenging at times but I find the dual reponsiblities enjoyable. Typically most days run smoothly, mainly because I feel I have developed a strong cross trained and flexable crew. On most nights I work on the line with the crew which I also find enjoyable.

Washing and packaging vegetables

Lifting the basket of the vegetables

The environment is very clean and save,  company culture is suitable for the worker.

Very nice and i like everything about ippolito

Fast paced, they expect you to overwork yourself for little to no pay, while they yell at you to "encourage" you to go faster. If you are a person with high tolerance levels for someone yelling at you non stop and making you feel worthless and incapable of doing your job then this is the job for you. The people who you work with as a team are the real reason anyone stays, the friendships, people you'll never forget. 


Worked at The Ippolito Group from 2007 to 2019 as a distribution supervisor. It was a great experience. I learned a lot there and loved the people I worked with. Had a great benefit package, however pay was low and always had to fight for raises and often went 2 year periods with no increases. I did enjoy most of my time there. I was able to take everything I learned there and all my years of experience to a different company and am now paid appropriately.

Working at Ippolito as a Logistics Coordinator is rewarding. Each day brings new challenges in a fast-paced environment. Management is supportive and approachable, always encouraging growth. The workplace culture is collaborative and respectful, with a strong team spirit and clear communication. A great place to build a career in logistics!

Monday is the typical day for me

The honeymoon is great but doesn't last long. Then it is playing favorites by dispatch.  Paperwork for borders was normally done Isa timely fashion but a lot of waiting, poor scheduling, too much time in the truck at Loblaws, their main destination locally, should have been drop and hook locally.

Ippolito Produce Limited is a food terminal market wholesaler located at the Ontario Food Terminal. The workers there work long hours and start early in the morning. It is a six day a week business that is very quick moving, always changing, often frustrating and extremely satisfying

I ok’ing at this place is totally waste of time !! Stressful cold very cold environment poor pay and long hours of work !! HR is a very poor weak department t frame people with help of supervisor with non sens accusation !! They don’t care about the effort and hard work or years you dedicate for. Your job they want you out you out for no reason
