One does not just sit by, abandoned on a work site with this company - there is encouragement from head office to participate, learn and contribute.

Pros: Worked at the broadway location. The workplace culture to management was very welcoming. I really enjoyed how kind everyone was and that it was truly a team collective. There were no egos from top to bottom. Everyone just wanted to work and get their responsibilities done. Typical admin and reception work. Albeit, leans more on the admin side.

Neutral: It is literally a private covid testing center so catching covid is always a possibility. However, there were ample protocols to prevent such a thing. 

Negative:
Nothing negative really stood out, a great place to get some admin and reception experience. 

My day would start off with sending necessary reports that were submitted the night before from our Paramedics.  I would book all flight arrangement/helicopter flights/hotels that were needed for Paramedic's and Doctor's.  I had to get all medical supplies that were needed for PCP, CCP, and ACP kits and would send these out by courier to remote locations.  Daily email correspondence with head office in Vancouver.  On call 2 weekends out of the month to assist the Paramedic's in any emergencies or with drug testing.  In charge of the office when the Paramedic Coordinator was away on holidays or out of the office.

They have high standards expectations applied to the every aspect of jobs and staff need to show their productivity in quarterly assessments review.

It was an enjoyable extremely busy but not necessarily professional office to work in. With dealing with a over bearing senior staff member in the office that curses yells and has a tendency to put others down instead of taking the responsibility or clarifying when questions are asked, makes for a very long very stressful and exhausting day.

they pay full travel unlike most companies although it is only minimum wage. decent pay rate and they are good about covering expenses. office staff and management are basically impossible to communicate with.

Lots of opportunities for overtime. What effort you put in during your shift and application of good communication/practitioner skills are vital components to being successful within the company. Well educated management who care about their staff and maintain a collaborative communicative relationship. 

Excellent pay. Quick job assignment with travel arranged, clear instructions. Supportive, relaxed environment. Management was easy to reach by phone, and always able to answer questions.
