I had the opportunity to get my foot in the door to an office job. I was very excited about it! I was told it was somewhere i could explore different departments, learn a lot and there would be room for advancement. I was there less than 2 years, and didn't learn as much as i first anticipated/wanted to learn.

The first year i was there was okay. Was told their turn over rate was higher than average, and had to be careful who i talked to. 
But in the new year of 2018 they said things were going to happen and change they removed some office staff and other people were told to take on those duties. So i thought i was going to switch departments or at least learn some new things due to these changes. They then told me i couldn't learn anything new (for reasons i don't know) which was frustrating to me. 

I was eventually laid off January 2019 due to my qualities not being adequate anymore... (again, really frustrating when i asked for more to do and more things to learn)

It's a decent environment to work in, good place to get a foot in the door, most of the employees are awesome, some of management is iffy, but the pay is good.

Work rotation is 16 days on and 5 off ; but subject to change as job scopes are always changing. This a typical trait  of the oil & gas service, so home life can stress sometimes. Pay rates are based on shop days and field days ; so you need to be on the road to make good money with bonus’s.  Being mechanically inclined is a real benefit , along with trouble shooting skills. A basic understanding of hydraulics is also help full.  Field techs are working directly with wellhead pressures. A need to respect and understand this is crucial .

I really did enjoy working for Isolation Equipment Services. The people we good and I learned a lot. I was laid off due to lack of work during break up. Everything was left on good terms and they said they'd  call me when things pick up again so we will see if that is true. I respect them for not burning bridges though. Management was good and there seemed to be good communication between everyone. The 16/5 rotation schedule worked for my life and I found a good work/home balance.

I was employed with IES for 8 months until COVID hit.  During my time there I enjoyed my work and my colleagues.  My direct manager was fantastic, very easy to work with and he treated me very fairly.  The only area of improvement that I would suggest is for the senior management team to be more transparent and communicate more effectively with all staff.  Other than that, my experience during my time there was great.

with all the management changes and never knowing from day to day who your boss was going to be, it became very unsettling.
having a boss who knew nothing about  trucks was very hard and eventually caused changes to be made in which my position and the work we did was no longer feasible for the company and caused all mechanic to be laid off.

Good co workers, pay decent,  job can be challenging and chill

Schedule isn’t great if you have a family

Depends who you are working with.

Depends on the job. Can be hectic and physically demanding.  Or can be chill

What is the best part of working at the company?
It's a stupid place to works. It lacks continuity of work, training and safety. Bullying at work and false reporting is the culture of the senior employees.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lack of respect and Bullying by senior employees.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic work environment, zero protection from mistreatment.

Managers are incredibly lazy, and do nothing all day except boss people around to do menial tasks for them that aren't related to the company at all! Meanwhile, employees are doing all the hardwork while getting paid significantly less!

Learned a lot of information with this company, management was easy to talk to and would help in all ways they could. Had a lot of fun with co workers and enjoyed being promoted to a level two operator teaching new hire the job. safety is a very high priority for management and we strived to always have a safe work environment.

The field people are great to work with . The shop techs were great to work with . Certain management and Certain HR personnel are very sketchy people who will tell you what you want to hear and then do the exact opposite. The owner doesn't care about his employees unless you are head management.
