Italian Cultural Centre

Everyday at my work sometimes busy sometimes not. Children with their parents hanging around in library because you can read and singing and relax in the library. I've learned many things like italian language even just little, shelve books, use library software for checkin in/out books what is new for me and i'm kind of excited about that. Hardest part of the when someone want to borrow a book and he cant speak english at all. The most i like in library is on the weekend because it's time for sing a song in italian with children and their parents that is the most enjoyable part of the job.

In the time I worked there everyone was really nice and friendly to me. They were always interested in my hobbies and side projects I had going on at home. They worked with me if I had bad days for my feet and knees, always still finding work and jobs I could do to help still. Some nights were relaxing and slow and other nights got really busy and fast but we always worked as a team. In all the kitchens I've been in I've never had one until this center were the chefs will not question having to stay a bit longer to help with dishes and final clean up.

People are super friendly n willing to help you, it’s a fun environment super busy on the weekends Fridays and Saturday are the most busy days. Also super flexible with ur time usually people who work at Icc has a second job. U can work in the mornings or nights. The pay is Ok u get  get tips at the end of the month the more hours u work the more tips u have  I honestly made decent money working there. U make a los friends too

Working at ICC is fun, also hardwork sometimes, when there is a party between 400-600 people. Stuff is friendly, mostly young and responsible. During your break you can also enjoy delicious food as one of the perks!

Covid took a toll. Change in management during the wrong time definitely affected the way a banquets work! New management is trying to cope up and I’m sure in the following 6 months, it’ll be back to working at full pace! 

The ICC is a great place to work.   Our material is constantly updated to keep the job fresh.  And, as employees we get to take part in the plethora of cultural events that take place at or around the centre.

best job i had me and the owner got along very well and we grew from there we are a family now he knows how to run his own bussiness and makes sure everything is running smoothly

Started as a wishwasher and worked my way up to cook. Chef was great awesome and respectful in teaching me the art of cooking. Great for weekend side gig as we cater to events mainly

Working at the Italian Cultural Centre was fun, fast paced work. Have to be able to be on your feet a lot. Worked with my schedule.
