A typical day at work involves opening the cash to make sure it balances and sign in to the company email to understand the new promotions that are going on in the company.
What I've learned since I started working here is how to speak to customers, what to say to them, how to give them all the information they need to know concerning the promotions and new stock, etc.
The hardest part of the job is when everything falls on liquidation. During that time, us sales associate, must change all the prices on each item and put the new prices. It is a long process, but once it is done we feel accomplished.
The most enjoyable part of the job is getting to interact with different customers. After working at Jacques Vert for over one year, i learned to make not only business connections with the customers but also on a personal level. Customers often come to see us just to say hi. This to me is the most enjoyable part of my job because i feel accomplished knowing that I'm the reason for someone else's happiness.

- Ringing through customers clothing, helping customers find what their looking for, paper work (stars & merret) reports, sales reports, Inventory, Shipping and Receiving stock, Cash out and Deposit.

- Learned more customer service skills, how to relate better to customers needs.

- The hardest part of the job is dealing with customers that arent in the best mood. Customer service becomes diffacult to acheive at that point but you just keep trying.

Working at Jacques Vert  gave me confidence to try! It was an excellant  entry level job. There was a safe place to keep my personables having a locker and a locked back room. I gained use of 2 computers which was a good thing: for inventory and for sales. I had a lunch hour if I needed which was a perk of work. I leaned to dress dummies and do a wall for adverisement purposes. The unpackables were brought to me but I had to do garbage disposal as well as the daily deposit. It was a great learning experience. 

This was a terrible place to work. The managers only care about themselves, very cliquey, rude and condescending. Some had no management training and got the job because they were liked by other managers. Some managers had no social skills and work morale was at an all time low. The sale associates were left doing all the work while the managers went on smoke breaks. If you want people to enjoy being employed at this stores especially the Toronto stores you need to change your managers or at least give them proper training. Gosh!

customer service is my main priority. Although part time I have learned to manage my time efficiently in order to assist management with inventory management, monitoring floor stock and all paperwork, orders etc associated with the work. The more I learn the happier I am.

In a typical day in my last position  I fulfilled management tasks of opening and closing the facility. Throughout the day I complete various administrative duties as well, I including answering phones, drafting documents and emails, filling and greeting customers. I also provided strong customer service and resolved customer issues.

It's a great place to work flexible hours and excellent staff and management. It's a British fashion line and has lots of room to grow.

A decent place to work - aside from the usual problems - aggressive customers occasionally, some attempted thefts (since the clothes are rather expensive)... nothing out of the ordinary.

Great team with a really nice and supportive management. There were lot of different tasks that I was responsible to do every day. A great opportunity to learn from colleagues and the manager.
