If you like drama, office politics and chaos, this is the place for you! If on the other hand you are looking for a stable place to work, where you are treated fairly and with respect, you should definitely look elsewhere!
‘Some overtime’ is actually a lot of overtime, sounds good until you are working too much overtime and being screamed at for the amount of hours you have worked and/or driven; yet at the same time, you are being forced to work that much overtime! (No, in case you were wondering, it is not a choice!) Just as easily though, they will drop your hours so you can’t afford your bills. All the while blaming you for tasks not being completed (when those tasks are entirely dependent on outside factors completely out of anyone in the company’s control)! 
Owners are terrible at dealing with people. They will tell you to do one thing, then turn around and scream at you for doing as you were told. There are some good people who work there, most of them do not stay very long. There is a very high turn over rate for almost all positions! All staff with the exception of maybe one or two, are promised the moon and stars, but inevitably dumped on. Drivers, office staff, garage or warehouse people, no one is not replaceable or expendable. Something they are sure to remind everyone and often!
All staff (all positions) are continually told what they want to hear, just to shut them up in the short term, none of which ever turns out to be true. Just a quick way to get you out of their face, or off their phone line. Dedicated run? Sometimes, except when it’s not and they need something else, which is a lot. Guaranteed hours or miles? Again, not so much, it really depends on the day, people’s moods and what the owners care about most that day (which frequently changes). 
If you really need a job, I mean really need one, apply and take one here, but do not stop looking elsewhere! There is a reason the turn over rate is so high (again for all positions). There is no room for advancement, raises or benefits and as far as work life balance, unless you want your low paying job to be your life AND your work it is not existent!

In the short time I was employed, I saw numerous people quit, new ones come in, then they’d quit! It did not take long to learn why and follow suit.
This company is poorly managed, has a horrible reputation (to be fair I was warned by several people, including 4 employees my first day they treated employees as poorly as possible). 
The management changes their minds frequently on your job duties and hours. Drivers are promised one thing on the phone, you are told you have to repeat that lie, even though their runs are being changed. 
Owners wife likes to yell and belittle you, even though she usually doesn’t know what most employees jobs entail. 
If you’re wondering why you see the same job postings on indeed so frequently, it is not because the company is doing well and expanding. It’s because they can’t keep staff due to their poor business practices.

- No paid wait times
- No paid layovers
- Benefits are a joke. You have x amount of $ taken off each pay, and they will match it with x amount of $. So you only have a dollar figure worth of coverage, not an actual percentage, like you would a real benefit plan. 
- Lowest wage in the area.
- They promote bringing ur pets to work. Depending who you are, this can be good or bad. If you have allergies, this is bad, as animal hair will be in your truck.
- This place is only for people new to trucking, so they can gain experience or for people with poor driving records, that need to wait until they get their points back, so they can find better work elsewhere.

They use Samsara,  and forward monitoring A.I. cameras that are set up very badly to constantly discipline drivers. Every driver is their worst driver in the discipline meetings.
The benefits aren't really benefits as you cover the costs and they'll apparently reimburse 80% but nobody can afford to use them.
Management plays games with assigning loads and will make you as poor as homeless and destitute. 
STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS IS MY ADVICE!

Drivers complaining that their AC stopped working and they're in the states 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good culture and the environment is good 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
8 to 5 maintaining the fleet fixing trucks and trailers, like breaks and stuff

Managed invoices, data entry, organization of filling system, Implemented electronic filling system, manged customer relations, completed assigned tasks on time and accuratly, provided maintenance on electonic communications within the office.

I learned how to resolve real time issues, prepare bank reconciliations, employee payroll runs, as well as grown my understanding of the business environment.



The people in the shop are nice to work with but there are a couple of younger guy's that think they can do what they want and they get away with it too. Not alot of shop equipment but starting to get more. Watch what you say to people or you will be written up for it even if you're on your break using your cell phone.

great company to drive for if you like sitting in parking lots and loading docks waiting for loads or getting loaded during day light hours and drive at night so you can unloaded first thing in the morning with hopes of getting reloaded before evening and 25% of miles driving are empty free miles.

I definitely wouldn’t call $18 per hour excellent pay, even their long standing employees made no more than 18 and hour and when you’re dropping off a load be prepared to wait 3 hours then they lower your wage to $16 an hour.  Lots of work for the right person and they are all very accommodating and nice to new drivers I can’t say that enough but the money isn’t very good!

While at JDW International, I experienced a fair work environment with above average home life. The staff in charge of logistics operations were flexible in ensuring the personaal needs of each employee were met to the best of the staff's ability.
