A typical day at work here was to try and manage a workload with poorly maintained equipment, a lack of defined roles and responsibilities and general lack of respect from the employer.
Coworkers were real people, largely from the local level that were enjoyable to be with but frustrated continually by poor management practices. The hardest part of the job was to listen to the Beyond Zero Safety Culture and then observe management budget restraints create impossible application of those values.
The most enjoyable part of the day was going out the gate to go home, especially after lining up at the time clock while management and office staff dusted the road from the employee entrance to the parking lot leaving 70 workers to breathe their dust and line up for 10 more minutes to reach the gate.
I definitely would not ever recommend the Lamont, Ab. facility as a rewarding place of employment. Short projects and no sense of job security except for the select few that seem to be unaccountable for their poor understanding of how to retain competent and experienced tradesman.

Great company. Good bosses and workers. I just don't like the unstable work enviroment. I liked learning all aspects of industrial from electrical to structural and pipefitting. Last 5 months I have started to learn the management part of industrial. Great management to learn from.

Great work culture, supportive, collaborative environment.  I felt like they really cared about their employees. Seeing a company as large as JFSL/Jacobs work diligently to remove barriers to ensure that the company was able to work in a collaborative manner.

We start our day with a safety meeting and a bunch of good stretches. Then we would team up get our work packs and get at it. Really enjoyed working at a meg camp great accommodations staff and food. Great bunch of guys to work with.

Was a very relaxed and medium paced work environment, work isnt strenuous at all and having a pretty severe back injury I can attest to that. Easy going guys to work with but management can be better.

when i was working for this company i learned alot, While i was working there the employees were always willing to help teach you new skills to help you advance in your carere

Started in the oil & gas company with JFSL. Was a great company to dip my toes into the water. Co-workers were great and willing to train me to get me to the position I am in now.

I would begin my day by going over the emails with my manager. Most of my days were inputting data into a database called JPI.

Good company, good pay , excellent supervision very fair and value 
employees enjoyed working for them hope to work for them again on the next shut-down.

I enjoyed my time working for this company. They are a very professional company,  The company has excellent leadership and treats their employees fair.
