Car sales is a very difficult job to succeed in. Takes alot of hustle! Jim Gauthier Chevrolet makes it easy to succeed if you have a grasp of the sales process... They are consistently within top 5 producing dealers of western Canada, have a large stock of inventory of both new and pre-owned vehicles. Also one of the biggest and most beautiful dealerships in the city. Everyone is there to sell cars and make money, so the support to help do your job is amazing for Managers. I have no idea how the service manager acquired his position. He does not know how to properly run the department. He forces you to over schedule customers which in turn causes them to call & yell at you for their vehicle not being serviced in an appropriate amount of time. The entire facility is filled with drama & rumors between coworkers. However they do have great benefits, bbqs in the summer, random pizza lunches, good discounts on services & a few wonderful coworkers.

Group oriented with fair wages for the most part. A good management team that supports their team and encourages you to work independently and expand your skills without micromanaging. For the most part the other departments worked well together. The shop was well organized  and aided in a less stressful environment. Fellow employees were willing to step up and help where needed.

Worked there for a few years staff was good always friendly enjoyed being there and the Christmas parties were a hoot. :) Definitely gotta bring your "A" Game daily if your strong or in good shape it will be at your advantage. Overall I still visit it staff is amazing!

Payouts were too little, unless you are pulling in crazy numbers for sales, you would just be making minimum wage. The people working there were generally friendly with a few exceptions as some of the people in management were very cold and did not give any attention to who you were. Overall, its an OK place to work but not the money maker it is made out to be on comissioned sales.

The people I worked with were great. Except the service manager who clearly has no management skills. He's hard to get ahold of. Makes poor decisions that affect the workers but not him.

Laid back place to work, pay plans are best in the province. Supervisors don't micro manage. Can be stressful at times but that is the nature of the industry.

Morning is pretty busy, but its manageable. Most of the people are approachable and so as the management. The most enjoyable part of the job is when all of the staff can have a break to eat burgers or hot dogs on barbecue day.

Everyone talks behind everyone’s back, not a fun place to work at all, everyone acts like a child and complains all day making for long days, people show up late and very lazy.
