A typical day at Jugo Juice is very busy and requires a lot of work and multitasking! Daily prep starts with making all fresh wraps and sandwiches in house, preparing and measuring fruit for all smoothies, stocking fresh vegetables for juicing while also ensuring all other products are stocked up front for each day. We are a very busy location and take great pride in our excellent costumer service which has been noticed by Jugo Juice's head office. I have learned the importance of consistency and quality when it comes to both product and service. We have a large regular client that continues to come back and I pride myself on the fact that myself and coworkers are to thank for this. I work with a great team of two others who are very motivated and passionate about their job which makes coming into work an enjoyable experience. The hardest part of my job is completing the very long list of daily requirements and tasks while serving the high volume of costumers, it can be stressful at times but I have excellent time management and prioritizing skills and always complete my job while still providing excellent costumer service. Meeting new people everyday and being able to feel as if I've made a difference in a costumers life, even if just making their day a little more enjoyable with a healthy smoothie is definitely the highlight of my days at Jugo. I love that I am able to educate costumers on new health trends and their benefits.

My day would begin with prepping for sandwiches and smoothies. I would go into the fridge and pull out the fruit that I need. Then you would put the right amount of each combination of fruits and ice into small plastic bags. The fruit ingredients used in smoothies are all prepped before hand and put into small plastic baggies and stored in the freeze. When customers start coming in, you would ring their order into the cashier and make their smoothies or wraps/sandwiches. It is very straightforward and simple, the time to finish each order should be very quick. At the end of the day, I would wipe the tables clean, mop the floor, wash all the machines and utensils used and finally close the shop. The hardest part of the job was memorizing all the ingredients in each drink. The most enjoyable part of the job would be making smoothies. Once you get the ingredients memorized, making the smoothie becomes fun.

While I appreciate many aspects of Jugo Juice, such as its great employees, I have observed some challenges related to management style. Specifically, there seems to be a tendency toward micromanagement from certain leaders. While I understand the importance of oversight and attention to detail, excessive micromanagement can stifle creativity, demotivate employees, and hinder productivity. It's crucial for managers to trust their team members to perform their roles effectively and provide them with autonomy to make decisions within their areas of responsibility. This not only fosters a more positive work environment but also allows employees to develop professionally and contribute more meaningfully to the company's goals. I believe addressing this issue could greatly enhance the overall employee experience and contribute to a more collaborative and productive workplace.

A typical day at work involves customers rushing you to make the protein or vegetable shakes before the train arrives.  I learned to manage my time to be more efficient at work.  My manager is a nice guy because he makes sure we have everything we need at work or else he'll go and get it.  My co-workers are reliable because we help each other out during rush hours at union station.  The hardest part of the job is when we don't have enough people to wash the blenders or prepare the fruits needed in every smoothie.  The most enjoyable part of the job is having to work with your friends and play the best music in Toronto with your boss's permission.

I worked as receptionist and accounting assistant for Jugo Juice for almost three years.

While I worked there I transferred the royalty and advertising payments from each franchise into our bank account.  I was also able to work in a couple of the stores and learnt how to make the different types of smoothies, wraps and paninis that the company sold.  I also learned how to plant and grow wheatgrass.  The hardest part of the job was dealing with upset franchisees.  The most enjoyable part of the job was the taste testing.

I worked at Jugo Juice for a little over 9 months. The employees were more than kind, and most definitely respected those around them. I loved how busy it would become, as the time flew by way faster when working long hours. However, management was not stable enough, bookkeeping was messy, as my pay check was wrong at times when calculating my salary per month.

A day on the job was fast paced and energetic. I learned how to prepare different wraps,package the the fruit items to make smoothies for the customers and maintain the back end of the business place. The management was good but needed improvement in certain areas,my co-workers were easy to work and get along with. The hardest part of my job was helping my boss fire an employee that didn't meet up the expectations of the company. The most enjoyable part of my job was being able to help the customers and give them the best service we had to offer.

Every day was different. Making smoothies and fresh juices was always apart of my day, as well as cashier and prepping fruit for smoothies. I learned to make smoothies and that you must ALWAYS go with what the customer says. my co-workers were amazing, they were always fun and very nice. The hardest part was keeping the fast pace during a really long rush. The most enjoyable part of the job was interacting with the customers who always came back and got the same order.
