i learned a lot about blueprint reading, proper fit up procedures and bracing. how to fabricate and put together parts of a drilling rig.

unreliable management, condescending towards the workers, says they concentrate a lot of attention to safety of the workers, but on the contrary they only do so with the minimal amount of money and attention, always missing necessary shop supplies, like welding tips, gloves , earplugs, and gas nozzles

co workers were good people, very good at their jobs, but those were the ones that stayed and could stand being taken advantage of by the management of the company, a high turnover rate of employees, most only stayed for less than a year.

hardest part of the job was completing the assigned tasks due to a disorganized part supply, lack of shop supplies. As well dealing with condescending foremen, and a messy shop. Using welding machines improperly cared for and lack of much needed maintenance, improper clothing supply for outside work and lack of available working welding machines inside the shop

not very much was enjoyable at this shop, except for the vast amount of learning possible, and the co-workers on the shop floor which managed to keep a partial upbeat attitude only with constant nit-picking of the upper management of the company

only the family members and fmily friends seem to advance their or if you have been their for a million years . its not a bad job if you like fitting stuff and after a few months its repetitive I didn't like it to much cause I dislike fitting and am a welder  . 
 you have to supply your own tools and they only give you 1/4 inch disks. you have to supply your own wire wheels and zip cuts if you need them . they are cheap on consumables and most of the machines are garbage but like I said the guys a pretty good there so sometimes that makes up for the  equipment 
 it depends on witch shop your in to .

If you've got the drive and a touch willing to learn you'll do fine. Otherwise it's sink or swim. Required to supply own tools, bring a lockable toolbox or your tools will go missing. Very fast paced and underbid jobs so its go go go as soon as you are assigned the job Wednesday and due yesterday but no parts till Friday. Extreme high turnover. Shop 2 Forman is great to work for, and a mentor to those who are willing to learn. Upper management under qualified. Very disorganized, no room for advancement unless you're family. Safety is last in priority 

Employees are under valued and for the most part under paid. Very fixed wages raises are basically non existent so no point asking as management will string you along  or flat out ignor your request.
Very limited tools supplied employer and the tool list the say is required to complete tasks is but a mere fraction of what is actually required. Most new hires don't tend to make 3 months as it is a very difficult environment to fit in

it's the second time work for them , if you are not professional cwb or fitter even you have CWB, don't apply the job for this company because when you got hired this company and something wrong with what have you done, they will terminate you and  just waste your money for buy your own tool, this company is not provide the tool.. make sure you are professional welder or fitter.

The header sums it up but here are a few things you should be aware of before choosing to work here.

1. 3 major wcb clams in one year
2. Framing machinists for other employees poor work
3. Rigging and loader training only after they made the news
4. Returned a 20 dollar toilet seat because it was to expensive
5. Safety is used to protect the company not you
6. Every Machinist of talent leaves for less work and higher pay

There is more but I think you get the point.

Half of the management is out to lunch most of the time. Only a couple know what's really going on.  Need to have all your own tools which is okay but I think they should at least supply grinding shields for free.

Great fast paced place to work. Always something new good culture and good people. Management had a good idea of what was going on decent hours and overtime if you wanted it. Not much bad to say about the place. 

If you need a job and you can weld you can easily get a job. If you are terrible at your job, so will your life be here. Guaranteed overtime, work 10 hrs a had mon - Thursday, get off an hour early on fridays and work every second Saturday. Pay should be better for the amount of work you need to do here
