Jack & Jones

I worked at jack and jones for about 6 months. Firstly, the pay was good as it was above the minimum wage and my manager was nice and would understand me as well. But at my location specifically it was a toxic work environment because of two girls! they were horrible, barely did the work but wanted all the credit for it! they were straight up b*hes! Furthermore, the company has high expectation from you! If someones make their specific sales goal they stay, no matter how bad their personality is. The upper management doesn't care about the toxic work environment, as long as someone is making them sales, they'll stay no matter what! lastly, the product quality is literally so bad, do not buy from here! not only you'll spend a lot but you'll be told lies about the product! cheap, poor material product! After one wash it's gone! 

I worked at JJ for over 2 years as an ASM. The management team I was with  worked well with one another and always communicated everything with each other. Staff felt like a family but knew when the busy times came around how to put in the hard work. Head office could have been better with communicating to stores for promotions and promotion flips. Some choices seemed odd for different volumes and locations. They also really take pride in store standards, so expect lots of folding things to perfection. Company has great benefits for salaried employees and implemented solid bonus program for salaried and hourly. Work hard and you will get rewarded. 

Jack and Jones is a European clothing brand. I was the third key holder as a salesman and assistant manager.

I learned how to resolve conflicts between colleagues, managing a sales team with sale targets. I learned to fill out sales reports and stores orders as well.

The managers did not do much of their jobs. I was responsible for many manager tasks. Thanks to this I have developed my management skills.

The hardest part was to ask for a promotion after achieving all sales targets and help the store by generating more revenue.

Jack Jones was a very safe and fun place to work I learned so much and gained alot of experience here from visual merchandising, styling, lighting and great customer service skills. Everyone was so much fun and very nice to work with everyone who worked at jack jones was like a big family, it was like my second home. I met great people while working here and i learned alot about other people and myself.

Since the stores origins trace back to Oslo, Norway, most of the apparel reflects current fashion trends in Europe.

Most difficult - Dealing with customers who aren't satisfied.

Most Enjoyable - Seeing smiles/ Creating moments.

This place is ridiculous 
they expect so much from you with so little pay 
not to mention the managers never do anything.
They just comment on everything we do wrong rather than help us
no one stays, everyone keeps quitting because the managers are rude, and make us do their job.
If you stand up for yourself they talk about you behind your back or cut your hours/ the sale goals are extremely unrealistic and we do not even get commission so I don't understand why we have sale goals/ if we are not getting anything out of it.

- A typical day, was to assist customers on their need's and wants
- I learned to identify the customers want's and became a better cashier
- Management was terrible, I have never called in sick once and when I did they said no (still never came into work because of a injury they knew about) and they requested my resignation after that,
They also cut their shifts early (Lots to say about)
-There was no hard part to the job
-The most enjoyable part was meeting new customers.

Horrible company to work for. From the store managers to the district manager and everyone at the head office, they don't take their job seriously. As soon as one little thing goes wrong in your store, the district manager is so quick to blame you for it while they just sit there and do nothing to improve your store. Hours are horrible, always short staff but never willing to hire, everyone talks bad about each other, it's overall just a horrible company.

Jack & Jones was an interesting environment to work in. It helped me built confidence when approaching customers. Management was not the best unfortunately, and due to the staff being short and the company's budget being low, I often had to work overtime for weeks. Sometimes we get rewards for achieving sells that beat the previous year's.

Just freedom except that there is no good thing there

Modern Slavery, without attention to qualification

Just going to work with lots of qualification but not hope for future
