Jacob Boutique

A typical day at Jacob started with getting run-down of the daily sales. I would then get my sales goal for the day, be assigned to a specific zone, then style and dress customers. I learned how to attend to the customers exact needs. The greatest asset in learning how to sell is listening and understanding exactly what the customer needs; it is also found in noticing what the customer may need even if they themselves have not realized it. Selling is less about convincing the customer and more about presenting a desirable product. The hardest part of the job was getting used to the somewhat abrasive sales competition among my fellow employees, but I realized that all you have to do to succeed and flourish in such a job is to ignore it, do not engage in the gossip, stay civil and kind to everyone, and just do a really excellent job.

I have learned a lot in regards to the business aspect, and as well as working with different types of people in the industry. 
Compared to other apparel shops, it came to conclusion that our team of ladies has least drama or is more united as a team than to always be speaking badly of each other.

Greeting customers, dealing with cash, directing customers to fitting room, perform clean up duties and so on. I've learnt how to service customers. The hardest part of the job is to stand all day. The most enjoyable part of the job is to work with great people.

When I first started working there, everyone was really outgoing and were not stingy with showing you how to do things you didn't know. I learned how to sell a product. A typical day at work was helping customers with the clothing they were looking for.

Loved working here!  Learned so much everyday, company believes in training and developing their people.

Standards were high, but expectations were very clear.  Extremely organized and disciplined company.

The staff was amazing and I loved the product. Not much motivation to grow within the company and they eventually closed their doors.

This company is not in business anymore.  The management was the worst and it ended up being a total waste of two years.  I wish I went to school at this time as opposed to four years later, ugh.
