Through the training they will make it seem like a fantastic place. They will seem encouraging, and  like you're ready for success but you will quickly learn they're all lies. 
You begin by completing a 3 week training course that you are unpaid for. They will make you wait 3-4 weeks after you complete training before your first trip and then will be up to another 2-3 weeks before you get paid for the first time. So ensure you have a savings fund to live off of before CONSIDERING this job. 
Most of the information is made to seem like it is REALLY important and then you never use it again. 
You are required to do nearly as much work on deck as the crew while then being required to go inside and do paperwork for most of the time in which the crew are sleeping all while being paid significantly less.  
When you go into hand in your paperwork, you will be made to feel like an idiot if you had trouble with anything. There is also a good chance you will get to listen to the manager trash talk you on the phone while you struggle to complete paperwork after you've given your notice to quit. 
If you enjoy fishing and have a steady job, don't leave. This is for people who have never seen the ocean and are extreme people pleasers.

Great way to get your foot in the door working in the marine science field however the company is very unorganized and the work is unreliable. use as a last resort.

If you are a marine biology student or marine biologist recently graduated it is an amazing experience. You will witness thing most marine biologists would die to see

Good learning experience. But hard to make hours and almost zero notice when you are expected to drop what you are doing and go on a 3-4 day trip. Poor communication 

It has good people and good work. Time to yourself on the job. Lots of travel.
Time away from home has to be considered if interested.  Lots of help at the ready.
