The actual work was simple and straight-forward. Anyone with any retail experience will find the work simple enough. The hours were solid and they were fairly consistent. Pay felt lower than what the market should be, especially for full time work. Very minimal opportunity to advance in a career with next to no training to increase your skillset. Management was a tire fire in my opinion. Always shifting blame for anything that went wrong to the employees and the manager had clear favourites. The manager often complains about clientele and any amount of work. 

Absolutely loved working here in my time in Toronto. Learn about shoe fitting/excellent customer experience/loved my work colleagues and sales. They made you want to come in and do the best you can do for the company and yourself. They always wanted and encouraged me to work hard, which make me succeed in my career. I got asked as well to become a manager in one of there new stores, which unfortunately
I wasn't able to do due to reasons. I was very sad to leave due to covid, but i would go back if I had the opportunity. Thank you Jean Paul for making my time so special there.

one of my most favorite things to do everyday was to meet new people. even if they were not interested in making any purchases. i increased a lot of my weekly sales goals this way. my staff always kept a very friendly atmosphere for almost anyone at any age to stop by take a look around and leave smiling with a shopping bag or with nothing. so long as they left happy.
Jean Paul Fortin is an excellent company to work for, i wish there were more locations currently they only operate out of Toronto and Burlington

JPF stands behind their product and is dedicated to relational sales in time where transactional selling runs dominant. Workload depends on staffing and whether or not HO will supply proper resources to each location. Company always offers internal advancement before hiring new staff. Experience as an employee is unique to each location.

The managers of the stores were very caring about the employees.There is always something to learn. Customers are usually loyal and get back to buy nice merchandise. 


Clark’s at Mapleview Mall gave good hours but unfortunately, management fell short. The store manager was very condescending and was never open to training and more shaming on his employee. 

I love working for this company the management is great and upper management is amazing, fun company and great styles, great location and amzing hours
