I 'm carpenter and finish concrete , we had safety meeting all days , they gave me  instruction about the labors , build  contains walls , build ramps walk to the wheel chairs , lay out  seat the form with wood  after tie ribbars ,  place concrete and finish concrete with tools , I was working in this company industrial an commercial construction , they gave me opportunity for growed  I have experience scaffolding , sccissors leave , fall arrest driev license class 3

I got a lot of experience with this company in the construction field. The pay was good and the friends I made were better. Some people think its hard working construction, well it is. This job kept me in shape and I can't complain. Thank you

For the most part although I only worked here briefly my issue was based on the lack of decent tools. For example  the job started out with demo work. So there was at least 4 workers on the site and we got one drill that didn’t have a reverse on it. Pretty hard to work with that. Other than that I don’t have any problems with Jen- Col 

The Company is Family orientated but don't abuse it.

Working with knowledgeable and experienced guys who are willing to share there knowledge with you or challenge you to figure it out !!

Typical work day: foremans and supers have the power going to heads your not allowed to refuse unsafe work because if you do they threaten your job. Be prepared to never look at prints and get treated like you don't know a thing. "We treat our staff like one big family" most toxic family I've ever seen.

Management want site guys to work long hours and bank time at a flat rate. 
No time and a half and no travel expenses.
Expect skid steer operators to drive around in equipment in snow and rain with no door or heating.
Equipment manager knows nothing about the badly maintained equipment that he has on offer.

This job was only temporary but was a great experience. Work was done by myself and my forewoman. We did additions to 2 schools in Red Deer. The hardest part of the job was working in the rain showers and wind. I look forward to a recall for work in 2017.

They always made their employees feel like part of the family and would do anything in their power to accommodate family needs and were always promoting education and set clear goals for growth and advancement 

While I worked for Jen-Col over the summer they allowed me to take necessary time off and never forced me to work on weekends or overtime but did encourage it. I would recommend working for them, it was very enjoyable.
