Has its ups and downs like any other company. Very large (200+ guys even during slower times), lots of opportunities to move up and around the company, wages are pretty firm though. Some of the journeymen/women can teach really well, but lots don't care and are too busy to give you a proper instruction. Nepotism is very extreme in this company to the point that field staff who have family in management will typically abuse their status, don't pull their weight as much, and basically cant be disciplined or fired for anything. Be ready to show up to site 30 minutes before your shift starts (typically 7am); you wont technically be late if you don't however the foreman will look down on you and shame you for not getting there "on time". Watch out for guys who will throw you under the bus, take out there personal life problems on you, or use you as a scapegoat to get higher on the corporate ladder as those are all very common occurrences in the company.

I enjoyed my time working with my co-workers but the foreman was less than professional. When I quit the lady in the office told me that the first three months I spent working for them didn’t count towards my apprenticeship hours. It was a hassle to get my blue book back from them. Just Sleazy. When I was quitting my co-workers advised I quit the day I intend to be done because they won’t let me back on site if I try to give two weeks notice. I left for a better job and I quit on good terms. 

Anything above the foreman position is an absolute waste of time, effort, and money. The men and women you will work alongside are 85% awesome and 15% related to the people that either own, operate, or uppermanage the company. It's an absolute trainwreck of a way to run a business. Your warehouse is a cesspool of lost wages, materials, and of course money. But let's take it from the guys out in the field.

Had a good experience and learned a lot about plumbing.   People were willing to work with each other as a team.  Got along very well with the plumbers and the other associates. Also got along with the staff in the office and the boss in the office.  Helped out in every area in the warehouse.  Trained New employees to do their jobs.

Working at jetco mechanical was an experience that i'll never forget I was brought great friends and many skills while working there. The days of during the workplace were obviously tough but the environment was so welcoming It was hard not to love working there. The hardest part of the job was honestly the unexpected part of what job i was given but that was the exiting aspect to you never know what there going to make me do.

Working on all aspects in the plumbing field

Sometimes driving 70 - 90 km per day if on residential

Work environment was good, some great guys to work with

Not usually very stressful, complete the task for the day in a timely manner

The work is great! The coworkers are awesome. Very knowledgeable very skilled. Management is also very skilled and very knowledgeable it makes it for a great place to work!

Making sure you hit the deadlines. But they give you all the tools and enough manpower to take care of business.

Pros: Great work/life balance, good mangement and co-workers.

Cons: Not always 40hrs per week.

Fairly routine and predictable, but don't necessarily mind that.

I was the shipper/receiver at this company, I found it very rewarding and I had learned a great deal.

My day started by checking up coming invoices to see what should be arriving in the warehouse.

Unloading all the delivery trucks that came into the warehouse.
