Overall working for Johns Hopkins @ Keswick was wonderful, but unfortunately the Positions were Eliminated in May of 2020.😞 I previously started working for Johns Hopkins Community Physicians on 6/5/89 for 18 years then transferred over to Johns Hopkins University as an Core Services Specialist III in the Financial Clearance Department @ JH Keswick for 5 years.

JHH is  a large academic center where multiple disciplines come together to achieve the goals of research and patient care. Evidence based practice drives decisions and is a main focus for nursing and medical treatments and decisions. All who choose to work there understand the goals if they are to be successful . My time at JHBMC was some of the best of my career. The staff was supportive, the work, while hectic sometimes, was fulfilling and appreciated. I liked the challenge of the hospital environment, and never had concerns for my job status. Overtime was nearly always available, but seldom mandated. All in all, a great place to work.

Overworked, underpaid, & micromanaged.
Room has no ventilation, poor condition sink and cabinets. 
Supervisor sits outside the door on a hospital watching you.
Get occurrences for clocking in on time but if you walk to the room you work in a min after your supposed to clock in you get in trouble.

Cannot trust HR because of new contracts.
The HR manual is updated with reduced benefits
Sometimes unfair and unequal pay structure.
Poor promotion opportunity.
Advise to ensure you maximize your education benefits.

Management can be distant and aloof.
Priotising Interested other parties.


The hardest part of my job was getting patients to take a look at specific behaviors that precipitated the admission, and following up with  treatment recommendations

Challenging place to start a career, but great to work with dedicated, skilled staff, my approach to patient care is still based on protocols and approaches learned while at Hopkins and it has served me and my patients well.  Excellent learning opportunity.

This is a great employer , definitely a great and progress working environment. Great asset of working for Johns Hopkins Health System  is the ability to work form (telecommuting).

I was not there for a long period, however I was pleased with the level of input between the Radiologist and the technologist. There is good coordination and teamwork with staff members.
