I worked from home for this position which is nice and they do send you a 10-year old PC for which to do your work from. Interview process was extremely lengthy and took about a month and a half from application to employment. Getting setup in the company and meeting the team went smooth but as soon as you are in for a few weeks, the friendliness drops dramatically. They add in lots of on-call hours even on your days off so there's minimal work-life balance. Management seems to set expectations for you but keeps that to themselves so it's pretty easy to lose your job at a moment's notice. There's no leniency for mistakes.

Software I was supporting was outdated and there's little to no documentation internally or externally to support the product. Team didn't like answering any questions on how to do the job and expected previous tickets to be their answers to all future questions.

Best I can say is that they were willing to match my salary expectations and benefits kicked in right away. And their HR team is near impossible to get a hold of for any questions once you get in the door. Expect an answer in the next week or two, if anything.

My advice: Stay clear of any software companies under the Jonas Software brand. You can find better jobs elsewhere.

I recently interviewed with them, and unfortunately, my experience was very negative. Despite following up with them multiple times after the interview, I received no response on how the interview went. I sent three follow-up emails over a period of three weeks, but none of them were answered.

I understand that hiring decisions can take time, but the lack of communication from a company was highly disappointing. It left me feeling unvalued as a candidate and raised concerns about their professionalism and respect for candidates' time.

In the future, I would suggest that they should improve their communication process with candidates. A simple response or update would have made a significant difference in my perception of the company.

Had a good time working here for the duration I was there. Great job, decent salary, benefits and a wonderful team.
Unless you're a favorite or know someone from within, do not expect to get much support.

The manager doesn't seem to care about anyone unless he personally likes you, in which case, he will go above and beyond to assist.

Otherwise he will blame you entirely for not doing your casework on time, and on occasion will even assign you cases and further blame you for not doing the cases properly. Seek any help, he will simply shoo you away. Lack of support or concern on his part. And when you have done your due diligence, he will still blame you for your quality of work and only assist when a customer has called back to escalate. Terrible leadership skills. Terrible mentorship.

The product itself (Jonas Software) is often broken, and is very glitchy (uses an ancient PxPlus language) which is not supported in the IT/Tech industry.

If you want a career that will make you work under pressure all the time with little or no training at all, high expectations and no career advancement in sight and you only want a personal challenge/achievement and just to have something that will pay your bills  - then this is the place. Once you get in - you work hard and hard - you won't get  anything in return. Everyone has more in their plate they can handle and yet still asked to help out. 
Micro-management and office politics is all over the place.  Software has so many bugs and no one takes ownership of them. Mgmt is cheap and turns a blind eye when it comes to promotion - they will rather let go of an asset rather than giving them well-deserved $$...

Love the Olympics events at Jonas. This type of activities helps to promote the competitive strategy within organization and align it with the business strategy.

The most enjoyable part of the job - work with Data Mart, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, IT, SQL, Data Analysis and Reports... As well as promote Data Mart at different levels and create huge BI library with the Tips and Trick for different departments and customers.

The hardest part of the job - introduce the Machine Learning, statistics and R for the established business process.

One of the worst places to work. Agreed no training. You get thrown in and it's sink or swim. For a software company there own software is so outdated. Always freezing or crashing. People are phony and stab you in the back in a heartbeat. Turn around is crazy. They offer you more than what you ask for in hopes you will stay on. That's because your doing the work of two people or more. Work load is extremely heavy. I have always been a pro at multitasking but that's just not possible at Jones. Totally unorganized.......

This particular role was very fast-paced and was better suited for somebody who's a jack of all trades. Meaning, there was a lot of different tasks thrown at you with some training, however, they expected you to know everything seamlessly within a month and a half. If you didn't, they looked down upon that and it was very obvious. If you are not interested at all in accounting software or anything tech related, do not work here.

A typical day is hard, as no onboarding documents, everyone's answer is the same, it's difficult or we don't have, no one tries to fix any of the problems. I always felt out of place, out of time.

This company has so much potential, but long time employees make it hard for new comers with ideas, to implement changes.  Too much “ we have always done it this way”, and “ sure you can do that” but it never happens because people shut ideas down.  When a change does happen that isn’t welcome, you get the cold shoulder.  

There is zero training and support from the moment you first start at Jonas. However, management's expectation is that you will be able to show results. The middle and upper management team is out of touch with reality and you would have almost zero work life balance working here. 

I would not recommend working here. You can find a better job almost anywhere else.
