Many employees who have spent years with the company are not on a living wage. They talk often about opportunity for employee growth - this is nonsense, don't be fooled. Lots of talk about how our company needs to adjust our prices due to inflation and things costing "around 30% more than they did even a year ago," yet not once did they mention bringing their employees up to a realistic living wage for the area, and they wonder why they have a horrific turn over rate. 

If you are the type of person that loves to buckle down, put in extra hours, and really make the company you work for happy, this is is not the workplace for you, you will quickly become burnt out and sorely disappointed while barely being able to afford to live. This is just another job. Nothing more.

Also if safety is something you're concerned about, perhaps a place where people are not penalised for showing up drunk every morning then are allowed to operate heavy equipment (including forklifts) is not the best place to be.

Leaving was probably my best highlight of that job

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They cared more about money than people. Would work everyone dry as a bone to push out more product. And then complain we are not working fast enough but the persons been working for 30 days straight no weekend

Fast paced, culture is everywhere in JSI, clean but sometimes very dusty

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
6am start - 4 pm finish basically nothing more

The projection of the use of resources.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Probably very dangerous, with very little support.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Nobody will tell you anything different from anything normal.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Assemble or produce some form of product for the best part of a duration aimed 8-10 hours.

As I left there almost three years ago as working to for them 13 years . I gotton no respect by putting my hours as working mostly every Saturday for 13 years . Want my advice,don't go there ! I was working and was looking for a new blade and they gave me a warning and said spend 5 hours looking for a new blade . Well, it took me 3 minutes to get it ! They made me a fool of my self which I will never forget and that the reason,I left that place ! 

People steal each other's tools on opposite shifts,human resources rep doesn't fully understand their job.  Randomly they expect overtime.  Raises are few and far between, however the bonuses can be nice... but not consistently.   Supervisors have no problem yelling at employees and HR does nothing, nor does senior management.   Injuries are common and handled poorly.   

Constant work place gossip. No possible advancement with company. No incentives, long hours standing in one place. Very little appreciation for employees and often had difficulty with getting paid correctly. 

You gotta fight tooth & nail to get anywhere. Any requests for anything get put in a file then in the very back to party with the spiders. They talked about how great it is, but that where it stopped. Sure if you want a consistent pay cheque, but if you want to retain your own sanity look else where.

Poor communication skill for the management, no room for growth/ Advancement. Disrespectful group of people who don't care how much effort you put into being at work on time.

Good benefits. Fast-paced. Several perks. Free gifts. Xmas bonus. Informative meetings weekly.  Listen to concerns.  Health and safety is important.  Try to work with employees and their situations.
