Cons: very high turnover rate at Granville Vancouver location due to unprofessional manager who demonstrates unethical behaviour such as favouritism, micromanagement, shouting, lack of communication skills, neglect, will cut hours with no communication or warning. You will stand around and get bored a lot, very slow paced work environment.

Pros: nice coworkers and customers, styling them can be fun, basically everything else is okay

Overall nice product, decent compensation and hours. Company with great potential but no evolution or growth. Small private company -No trust from management. Good place for junior talent. No layers in management so not worth it if you have experience, will do a junior entry level job regardless of experience.

Job is for 35 hrs a week but you end up doing way more as they expect you to work nights and weekends with no compensation whatsoever.
Working there I learned to trust your gut (it was telling me to not go there but I didn’t listen).
Management is disorganized and toxic.

The clothes are well made and easy to sell. The upper management at head office can be frustrating, but if you have a great store manager, like Halifax does, it’s not so bad. The clients for the most part are pleasant to work with , the commission isn’t great, but the hourly rate is generous. It can be slow at times, being able to keep busy is important. 

Ottawa does not have the high end clientele, therefore a day-to-day was long. Ensuring you have a good client to save the day is essential. Manager was great however the pressure from upper management was unreal and not even worth it for a little more than minimum wage. 

Great talents and creative work. Amazing product/brand. Ability to cooperate and work with other departments.

Managing style and managerial decisions can be questionable sometimes. 

Salary and benefits are in-line with the fashion industry.

Great coworkers, fun work and amazing location. The management however is petty and unprofessional and takes all of the pros of this job away. Feedback is never consistent, and communication is very loud and rude. High turnover rate.

I had an amazing working experience at Judith and Charles in Halifax location. Worked with an amazing manager that truly cared about her employees and would do anything to go above and beyond.

Judith &Charles is a good company to work at there is a lot of great people that you work with. The days are never boring as you are always very busy the down size to working there you may have to work a lot of  late days.

Slow paced, meet weekly sales targets and you will be fine, commission is low at only 1% and they normally do minimum wage starting off. You get a clothing package after 3 months and health benefits.
