Like many immigrants, I left behind my high level experiences in my home country and started here as a person who is ready to work for any job to earn money. The statement that they definitely paid more than the minimum wage was the reason why I applied for this job, but I didn't even get a share of the tips for the first two weeks.

Most of my co-workers in the workplace were well-meaning and trying to do whatever came out of an oppressive employer.

The workplace was an incredibly small and untidy kitchen where 2 people could hardly fit. The most surprising point was that there were moments when you had to work 6-7 people in this 2-person place.

What is tried to be reflected is  that we are an extremely happy team and family,but behind this show unfortunately, there are many employees who are mobbed by the employer and exposed to micromanagement by the supervisors.

You may say how bad Micromanagement is, but an environment where each supervisor tells you that their method is better, where your every step is constantly interfered with, and where you receive different orders from more than one person, can be incredibly abrasive.

For the employer, the smile you need to show to the customer, their comments, their satisfaction are much more important than your honor and mental health.

I'm not saying you can never work in this workplace, but be aware of your rights and don't let anyone abuse them.


I read the awful reviews and decided to give the place a chance anyway - Even with the cheap, gimmicky job posting. 

The workers are generally good people, but the CEO is a micromanaging jerk who only approves of management/workers who do the same. 

Hours are insane, people are afraid for their jobs when they make a mistake. One person even told me they were always on edge because they could lose their spot in Canada if they lose their job - and they were justifiably afraid. 

No matter how well you do, or how fast you learn you will never earn the kindess or grace of the management boys club. 

If the CEO is in a good mood, you are a "chef," but if he isn't? Just hope you aren't in the room - Or that what he says in that room doesn't get back to you. 

I've worked in all kinds of places for all kinds of people, and this was the absolute worst. Thank God the CEO fired me after two months. 

Not all staff are cool, but those who are find themselves being taken advantage of. They fixate on promoting a "family" culture only to drag you down when you struggle to meet their unreasonable standards and on-call demands. The owner who is extremely mood dependent can't get behind the fact that employees have lives outside the workplace. There is a lot of hypocrisy, given that it's a family run business, so some people get away with anything, while others get constant nagging and threats to their job security as soon as the management isn't happy with you. Also, there is a significant lack of consistency in authority, as different trainers think only their methods are correct, so each shift is under constant micro-management. Do not waste your time working here, it is a waste of your time and well being. The work environment is highly toxic but also ironic because it seemed that some employees are brainwashed into thinking that this is actually an ethical business.

Very good food, the work environment is not the best. You could work an 8 hour shift and get only 1 lunch break within the last 2 hours of your shift.  The pay is also inaccurate since it's a minimum wage job. The management expects you to know everything within a week when they only have you in the back kitchen prepping big batches of juice and slicing fruits (which they also try and make you do really fast even though machines and batches of mixes are several pounds; heavy to carry) while washing dishes at the same time. The training is honestly not the best and they have a high turnover rate, don't expect people to work like its a 5 star restaurant when you're only paying $15 and splitting tips between everyone, I've earned more tips at other jobs within a week than a 2 week cheque.

The owner will paint a picture of paradise at the beginning, but afterward he will make your life miserable and will use profanity when communicating. Guys, do not go work at this place I’m telling you this because they were the worst months of my life. I worked hard and in the end they treated me badly. They pay poorly and only reward supervisors and managers. If you make even one mistake, they will talk to you without any respect. DO NOT WORK HERE, I’M WARNING YOU! There are more things I can’t say, but just take my advice.

I’ve been working at juice dudez for 2 years now and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s not just a juice bar/restaurant it’s helped me improve personally and improve my skills on many levels. What I love the most is that you’ll never be bored or stuck in the same place. They will help you use your talents in your job and get on to bigger places. I’ve also made lifetime friendships and met people from different backgrounds working as a cashier. 

The manager are mean and do not care about there employees. Rude to there staff and never get a break when you work long shifts. Constantly being yelled at. Not a great place to work. They put on a show to look good for customers, but really they are the worst to there employee. And go through lots of employees because of how bad it is. And you have no job security. As they fired people without warning. 

I worked at Juice Dudez for 8 months and i can say it was an amazing experience, i learned a lot and i had so much fun at the same time! 
My coworkers were nice and supportive and the owner was super generous and understanding! I missed that workplace and that great environment. I truly wish them the best 🙂

Pushy people, high turnover rate, advertise a pay that is not accurate (it’s minimum wage don’t be fooled). It’s a lot of long hours of work with only 1 break most shifts. The only pros is it’s in a great location. 

Working at Juice Dudez is like being surrounded by a family! 
Everybody is extremely nice and fun to work with. 
The work itself is very artsy which gives me so much pleasure being an artist my self. 
So far i only have yay moments with them! and i see a bright future for me at Juice Dudez
