Just Bite Me Meals

I’ve worked with Just Bite Me Meals the past 2 years and it’s been a great experience. Coworkers are all operating on the same page, which provides a comfortable and easy work environment. The staff is run by professional and competent leaders who make life at work easy and manageable. The location I work at has a gym inside the facility and allows staff to workout after their shift which is a huge plus considering most of the employees are health/fitness driven. 

I would 10/10 recommend working here if you’re on the fence about applying. Being there the past two years some of these low reviews don’t even make sense because I personally haven’t witnessed any favouritism or unprofessional conduct from the managers in my time here. 

The new Edmonton location is state of the art, the food management and cleanliness needs to be applauded as well. Healthy food, high standards, and competitive wages. 

Work culture was okay. There was little to no space for advancement within the kitchen (and the pay was barely liveable for most staff) but the actual work itself was easy and quick. 

Unfortunately, none of that matters when the owner of the company fires everyone (10 people) except one guy who had only worked there for 3 weeks with no notice, a month before Christmas. Final paycheck was nearly a week late, and ROEs didn't show up for nearly a month.

They expect everyone to work 10-12hrs everyday with no OT pay and no holiday pay either. They’ll lie to you and say they’ll lay you off but in reality they’re firing you and they’ll never call you back. The owners will promise you a lot of things in the beginning but will never follows through after and good luck getting a raise and this place is filthy

The worst place to work. Nothing positive from the owners or management. “Healthy” meals are a joke. If only you knew what actually was going in them! The kitchen is so dirty , can’t believe they haven’t been shut down yet. The ads say all PPE available. They have zero masks, hand sanitizer , and gloves. The thermometer used to take your temp is the one for the oven so it is never accurate. It’s basically fend for yourself. 

Hard work due to lack of proper management and not enough employees. Hr person is no help, rude and creates issues. 
Company leaves everything till last minute. 
Couldn’t trust anyone. If your not on their good side than there’s no team work. 
They than closed the kitchen down and fired everyone with no warning. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Lots of room for growth within the company, good staff culture, and management. Always keeping busy so work days go by fast. Plus some pretty decent staff perks. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It is a growing company so there is always something new going on or changing. Not a bad thing but be prepared to have to adapt on a regular basis.

Let me start off by saying the owners are amazing people! If you do your job right and show that you care;they will take care of you. Fun place to work with an inspiring culture. A great supportive environment, with a lot of opportunity for growth within the company. Lots of hours with overtime and paid breaks

There’s lots of favouritism by management. Don’t even try to get promoted or ask for a raise. They’ll string you along and pay their family/friends more when they have zero experience. The managers and owners as people are awesome but they run the place poorly, only care for the money, don’t care for their staff.

Nothing bad to say about this company, super friendly environment with great people and great bosses. Everyone is really friendly and knows how to have a good time, but also knows how to get things done when needed. Awesome place to work, highly recommend it!

The owners are terrible, the work is awful, long and not rewarding at all. 
You’ll also never get paid on time, so get used to asking for your pay check. 
And their “healthy” food isn’t even that healthy.... sauces full of sugar, deserts full of sugar, frozen meats... it’s not Fresh
