First off, you are hired as an individual contractor. 

this means you won't get any benefits, any insurance claims. if you are injured on the job, the best the company will tell u is to call for an ambulance. Nobody cares about the drivers. while the company makes a lot of money daily, the drivers are paid only for their deliveries. this means if you invest in a 4 hour shift and receive only 2 orders. you've made only $2/hr . that's 11% of minimum wage.  you will get tips from customers if you are lucky. and must depend on those to break even. 

Just Eat will not pay for your gas. will not give you a parking permit in the city, therefore if you get a ticket, you're on your own. Oh did i mention you must use your own personal vehicle?

burn your own gas, risk a ticket or damage to your own vehicle, run your car's mileage up, deal with a lump sum of phone bills because their app, Geodispatch, uses too much data and drains your battery . all for $4/delivery. 

AS THE DELIVERY DRIVER. YOU ARE THE FIRST TO BE BLAMED, AND THE LAST TO BE APPRECIATED.

A typical day included all the daily tasks such as running reports, invoicing restaurants, paying vendors, bank reconciliations and ensuring that any queries about finances were answered. In addition, special projects were brought to the table to ensure I was progressing and finessing the details that are associated with asset registration, invoicing procedures and bank deposit tracking. I learned a great deal about coordinating, time management, budgeting, proper accounting procedures and how to conduct an audit. Working at Just-Eat has taught me about customer service and how to manage accounts effectively.

The co-workers are very close and respectful of one another which is the most enjoyable part of the job. Being able to work under respect and a positive environment truly allows you to thrive and develop successfully.

I worked for Just Eat for just under a year and really did not enjoy my time there. Management is not skilled enough, and there is a lack of experience apparent in the entire leadership team.

The company is struggling to keep up technology wise, and when you pair that with the lack of customer service, it is no wonder I saw huge drops in customers month over month during my time there.

The entire office is going through a major uneasy period, with people scared for their jobs every day. The attrition rate was insanely high during my time there, and the entire office is unhappy and miserable at work every day. This is not the environment you want to be in.

Your typical corporate office with all the hierarchy titles with no real leadership. 

Team Leads are overworked - taking on multiple positions that should really be reserved for other specific departments, and takes away from actually being an effective Team Lead to the staff.  They are left  with not enough guidance and resources to work effectively.

Call centre staff are not valued as much as they should be - high turnover

What I learned: How to improvise better 

To succeed in this role you need to have a SUPER positive attitude and have a knack for managing stress. Good luck!

A great culture and excelled in Operations in 4 different continents. The hardest part of the job was working all day long but the rewards was worth all the hours.

Working at Just Eat is enjoyable! Of course, everything is not perfect.. The communication between departments is not the best, the management team is not always transparent but globally I enjoy working there.

When I started, a year ago, everything was perfect. The pay was ok, orders were enough and I could've earned enough to live just by delivering food. Now, when the fuel prices are so high, also my insurance is higher because I changed my car, I earn just enough to buy petrol and pay the insurance, so I can continue working... 

This work place allows me to be flexible into my schedule. I can make my own hours, either work earlier or later than my usual already made schedule. Great app for the drivers, as they are precise in their location of restaurant and clients.

Terrible company to work for. The delivery areas are too large and you spend way too much time driving to deliveries and pick ups. The dispatching is terrible and they have you run all over the city. To top it off they rip you off on your pay. Not worth the headaches or wear and tear on your vehicle.

The people at the work place is the sole reason the company is still running, these are hard working individuals who break their backs for a job that;s not secure. Slow to hire, easy to fire, should be their motto.
