K-Line Trailers

I have worked at K-Line Trailers for a little over 3 years now, I have learned and incredible amount of knowledge and enjoy the balance of welding and fabricating/fitting. 
K-Line has a-lot to offer for many different job experiences. I feel there is almost a job for everyone here  from experienced welder or fresh out of school welder (Aluminum or steel options), truck mechanic, service jobs, Air and Electrical outfitting on the trailers, the best part is if your not happy with the department you are in you can always try to work your way into another department that you think you may enjoy.

The hardest part of the Job might be not all the information to build the trailer is accessible from the drawings and is kind of a passed down knowledge..
Honestly, if you work here take the time to look at your work when its done being painted and ready for the customer. every time i see the finished product I gain more pride for my work and now everytime i go for a drive and I see a K-Line Trailer I am always telling my passengers everything I built on the trailer and point out every single trailer saying " I helped build that!"

There is an ocean of rusty parts that will never get used or thrown away, there is so much wasted space. Not a bad company if you're a welder, fabricator or a mechanic but very disorganized by my standards. Mandatory OT for Christmas that's doesn't pay time and a half, they get you to bank it and pay you regular time even tho you work 6 days a week in November. The guys are great, lead hands are good guys , management is friendly, it's just kind of a gong show the way it's run. The family that owns the business are all really good people. I feel torn about leaving, it's a very confusing place to get in the vibe of the work culture, no one ever told me to hurry up or anything, it's laid back, but at the same time it's very demanding and not laid back? It's hard to put into words. If you strive in a hectic environment you will like it. The benefits are good and they have good safety gear like gloves and glasses, pretty much anything you need to work safe, they even got me a head light when i started coming in early.
You get a christmas bonus. Ive definitely had much worse jobs, just not the place for me.

good place to work has good extended benefits wish that they had some kind of a pension plan for the employees and they need to have a shift rotation so that guys don't get stuck on nightshirt for ever but overall a good work place most of the management is very good to work with and work as a team and the products that they make there are great quality.

Good place to get your start. Raises are hard to come by. Good place to learn. Lead Hands tend to play the favorites game a little bit. So, there are some politics involved with the place. Some people get away with more than others. Place is pretty laid back, though.

Management promises lots at the start  then back pedals on most promises.

Lower pay than most places.

K Line is a great place to start your career in welding and fabrication. They really invest into those people who show willingness to learn and better themselves. They have constant work and do well accommodating their employees. Overall it’s a good place to work the people are good and you’re rarely looking for work.   

Great place to work , especially if you’re a new welder getting into the trade . They give you the tools to succeed and you get tons of practice welding . They move you up quick  if you’re a hard worker and try your best . The employees there are very helpful , understanding and great teachers. 

Fast paced environment with many production and sales related challenges. Collaborative team environment where all departments work together to achieve common goals. Strong and knowledgeable leadership and an overall great place to work.

K-line is a work place always react to the problem after it happen. They will put the blame on the coworker not in their procedures. There are two types of people that work at K-line. People who want out or people will stay for live without a pulse.

My time at kline has been fairly good so far. The people here are great and fun to talk to. Everyone has a sense of humor and likes to share it with others.

It used to be a very productive place to work at but they don’t pay overtime , also you’ll be forever stuck at the wage you’re hired . But they offer apprenticeship and it’s a great place to learn how to fit and weld FCAW and MCAW and some GMAW and aluminum .
