Finance department go through  lots of administrative staff and management.
turnover. Meetings are random, unplanned and all relevant employees are not invited. Due to management turnover, strategic plans change daily, weekly, and this causes a lot of confusion and anxiety. What I have learned is travelling from the city or other areas to Rosenort is a challenge and especially through the long winters. There is a lot of employee lay offs and turnover, there is no replacements, employees are expected to take on extra work and work extra hours for free. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The people! A great group of people I am glad to have met. Everyone is willing to help and teach each other. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Cyclical market.  My time at the company was right after COVID and the US Tarrifs. The company had one layoff about 3 years ago but has found solid footing and sales while other manufacturers seem to be closing their doors. The slow periods can cause stress for many.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great environment, if you have a good attitude and want to be better than you'll thrive in this culture. 
 Another review said it was Churchy but my experience on the floor is that everyone is welcoming to all religions/cultures.

Since day one at K-Tec, I've felt welcomed into the team. Co-workers here make an effort to build relationships and truly care about each other. Project collaboration in our department is key and everyone is receptive to constructive criticism and works together to come up with innovative ideas together to overcome challenges. As the company grows, the leadership has made a decided effort to make it feel like a family and continues to encourage individual and corporate growth. It truly is the best career I've had and I'm excited for the future here.

They had an amazing family organizational culture. This was one company that truly cared about their employees.

My own propensity to seek perfection with my welds

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Friendly and helpful. Their environment was very welcoming and supportive.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It was ten hour days or nites and just welding... but fun.

Have enjoyed working here for over a decade, and would love to retire here many years down the road.
Seen tremendous growth and a stable, hardworking workforce.
It's amazing that we make machines with our own hands that move mountains all around the world. THAT is a truly impactful, and important job.
The culture is truly something special here, making it feel like home. I look forward to coming to work every day!

They clam to be a family oriented company and they are NOT. The management states they have an open door policy but if used they will use what you say against you later. They make promises and don't follow through with them. They have also promote people who can't do the job and will never promote someone who is skilled and they will not pay for the skills you have.  

Easy to communicate with, fun environment, let me study at my own pace for WHMIS and Respiratory Protection.
The employees were approachable and kind.
Hardest part for me was the H/S side. I had no experience and yet was able to try to incorporate my ideas.

I’ve been in the workforce for 15years,  by far one of the best companies I’ve worked for due to their company beliefs and how they treat workers. this company has a lot going for it.  

Pay and benefits are very competitive.

Work culture is top tier

The only good thing about working at K Tec is the four day work week. Everything else is terrible. Management doesn’t know how to do their job. To top it all off, there is a lot of discrimination going on.
