Problems or opportunities of improvement come out every time and every where so employees must be alert and react quickly. This situation presents an invaluable opportunity of learning but at the same time of polishing your skills.

Despite the typical stress and pressure for this kind of jobs, there are supportive managers that lead people to make the best for the company and make the experience of working quite pleasant.

When I joined KGHMI two years ago, right from the day one, I faced many pleasant surprises. I already met the team on the second interview, and I saw the sparkle in their eyes, especially during the cross-questions. I knew I was to join a friendly and knowledgeable team. But surprises came from the company culture, and they were very sweet. Right on the orientation they made me meet everybody, and everybody greeted me. They gave me office perks, like free snacks and fruits (oh my). They offered me a parking pass, a pass to the gym, and took care of my commute expenses. The team meetings are always very open and friendly. The office meetings are always accompanied with snacks and drinks. My manager gave me a freedom to select extra projects I was going to work on, and is always understanding of what I do, and what I try to achieve and improve.

Working here does make me feel like part of a family.

Management is very poor. There is a buddy system in place. Regardless of impact to company, decisions are made that protect buddies.
Mine manager is run by the HR department lead.
Decisions are made on by individual basis without discussions with other departments
Little to no team work between departments.
Every department has their own agenda.

Every place has its ups and downs. The mine itself is a great place to work it was in great condition and the people there you mean the employees even made the experience better. After 11 years of being there I have nothing bad to say about it I give me a lot of experience that I can use in the future

Managers are all for themselves and has NO respect for the hourly unionized workers. They give you 5 jobs to do at once and then fire you for not doing your regular job. The managers are all school kids that have a lot to learn about life and respect. There is no enjoyable part about working on staff for that company.

KGHM is a company with really good benefits, better than most if not all mining companies in the area, but what they lack in is being top management heavy with these huge salaries that get raises every year. thus everyone Under top management salaries stay the same with no increase in salary roughly one 2% increase every 5 years.

- Start by reviewing emails, voice mails, see what is priority that needs to be accomplished that day.  Start working on that.
- Learned how to be a document control manager
- Management was knowledgeable and helpful
- Co-workers were amazing - Really miss them.
- Hardest part was revamping the document control system
- Enjoyable - loved the sense of accomplishments and that we were recognized for them,

Change in government in Poland resulted in mass layoffs that were terribly executed with lack of compassion.  $8.0 Billion in approved funding for international projects were cancelled and money invested in Poland.

Lack of direction from the parent company in Poland. Unwilling to spend money in exploration and new projects

Teammates and colleagues were hard working and skilled throughout all projects. 

Travel was the most enjoyable part of the job. 

Learned to complete geological compilations and 3D models.

Management does not support other staff, when asked for help organization does not support. When problems arise workers are left out to hang. People are supposed to be a core value but are the first ones left out to hang
