My current responsibilities include photographing the inventory on a daily basis and creating weekly social content. A typical day for me includes relatively equal time spent indoors and outdoors, coordinating with detailers and managers and occasionally performing some cleaning on vehicles before photographing. Once a batch of vehicles is photographed, I take my work inside where I spend time editing and uploading the final product for public viewing.

On odd days, I'll create videos highlighting inventory, the dealership's personalities, or general activities.

My favourite part about my current role is the autonomy, the ability to spend time both indoors and outdoors (minus the extreme heat or cold),  and the freedom and encouragement to create fun content without much, if any, restrictions or notes.

What is the best part of working at the company?
This is the most positive environment sales company I’ve ever worked for. The management team helps you learn and grow by explaining and providing solutions to all sales challenges. Definitely recommend working here if you are in sales!!!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
To be honest I wouldn’t say stressful but the healthy competition here keeps you moving and selling!!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is very positive and will never let you down, the work culture is the best, everyone supports each other!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
This dealership stays busy, so you will never have a dull day,  you will be able to learn all sales perks even if you are new to sales

I did thought that coming from a complete different background would be a uphill task but the quality of MANAGEMENT at KIA 417 made it much easier. They always believe in you and would want to see you grow into your role. 

Sales is always challenging and one should have some natural instincts for it. The management makes sure to nurture the talent and guide it in a proper way. Really amazing team and a great environment to work at. 

The pay plan is really rewarding and gets you a lot in return for your input. Have learned so much working at this place and looking forward to continue growing in this field with the support of best Leaders in the Team.

The managers are helpful when it comes to coaching to help me succeed, and the pay is on par and beyond in comparison to surrounding area dealers.

The environment is comfortable, no micromanaging is involved. It’s an automotive sales business, if you’re not working hard, you’re not in the right business, it’s a performance paying job! You’re in the wrong business if you’re complaining…

Managers & owners are flexible when it comes to taking time off, they ask for a reasonable 2 week notice if vacation time is needed, and they are understandable if personal emergency time offs are needed. 

Can’t ask for much more!

I worked at Kia 417 as a Sales Representative, and it was a great experience—especially as it was my first role in sales. The management team was incredibly helpful and supportive, always willing to guide me and share their knowledge. I learned a lot during my time there, not only about the sales process but also about providing excellent customer service.

The work environment was very friendly and team-oriented, which made it easy to stay motivated and grow in my role. I'm grateful for the opportunity and the valuable experience I gained at Kia 417.

Pay structure is very good, I know a couple people that work at other dealerships and their pay doesn't seem to be nearly as fair. Management is helpful and nice. Tough part is the same as all sales jobs, in that it's more than a full time job, however there is a lot of room to make money so I can't complain of course, and personally it doesn't bother me. Main focus on the job is getting appointments and leads as well as customer interaction.

The people are nice, they show interest in all employees but are just lacking management structure and discipline. (You are on your own if you are new to this position). I didn't have any issues with the people but was just hoping for better training and guidance in this position. Overall I just didn't feel fulfilled doing this job, and my suggestion for any other individual is just to be prepared to be blinded by guidance.

Over the past seven months, I’ve gone from having no prior experience to gaining a solid understanding of the industry, thanks to the support and guidance of the very knowledgeable managers. #1 Managers outnumber staff. Can never keep staff for very long, those that do stay they let go. No change in pay throughout pandemic or current inflation levels. Manager always watching over you shoulder. Speak about internal growth, promotions etc, but nothing to show for it.

Kia 417 is a great place to grow your career. The managers are encouraging and genuinely invested in your success. Regular team events also help build a strong, collaborative work culture that makes you feel part of something bigger.
