Extremely unprofessional family run company. The Crane/Warehouse Supervisor degrades his staff repeatedly and offers no proper training. Sets you up to fail and when questioned on how to succeed takes it personally and threatens you with your employment. And when openly degrading his employees to others in and outside of the company. Including telling everyone he really runs the company and the owners are extremely incompetent. The Purchaser continually throws "I will quit temper tantrums" and the company excepts this behaviour openly. Adequate training and safety are not provided. Regular verbal abuse about your job and person from the Crane Supervisor happens daily. I repeatedly have written this because i want people to understand that it honestly happens all the time.  If you get a chance to work here run. Run fast and far away.

What is the best part of working at the company?
All of my coworkers. They were amazing people and really made working there incredibly enjoyable!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They don't pay their employees what they're worth. I never would have left if they would have given me the raise I was seeking. Instead, I found another job willing to pay me more than what I was worth. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Casual, calm, and fun. You immediately felt welcomed there. It was a family dynamic, for sure. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Customers would come in to either buy Welders or parts/accessories, or to have their welders repaired. They also had cranes and hoists for sale, as well as mobile repairs (on-site) for any servicing needed.

Kristian Elecric is owned and managed by my uncle and his wife and 5 siblings as well as half a dozen cousins, grandchildren and nephews and nieces.  Not an ametuer concern the company is a success in Calgary and Edmonton and Saskatoon.  It is a fun place to work where strict discipline is enforced.  there is in addition to family employees, 5 salesmen stock room managers 3 parts department operators a secratary and a safety supervisor.

Kristian Electric is awesome.

If you yourself are helpful when one needs it, can keep the workplace clean, tidy and organized good things will happen. Im serious.

Decent pay here people, don’t like it go to Russia. You have management that cares, co workers will like you if you’re willing to lend a hand. A real me for you and you for me environment. Teamwork. If your an individual go work somewhere else.

of the staff and management, they really treat you like family and are
very kind generous people. I really learned so much working for this
company. I had great training and a wonderful mentor. My co-workers worked really well together and we have a wonderful team of
people. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a great job 
to apply at Kristian Electric.

Run ,.they sound good.on paper.real nice , but clicky crew. Hired by the owner, fired by the employee  whose all your foreman . This place is always advertising for workers have time to fit the click listen to a bunch of backstabbing. Never have I ever seen trophies company we're by the general manager says hey I'm reluctant to hire you. He thinks he's some sort of inferior God what a joke

I worked for this family off and on since 1976 till I retired in 2019.we could always work out any  problems between us, very understanding people .lots of training provided when needed and a company truck also.I would highly recommend them to anyone in their line of work. 

Typical day starts early, before the shift, fire up the computer, do the invoicing of the wo's from the day before, the phone starts, the customers start to come, assign the days work to the techs,then put out any fires that happen, and they happen every day something new. Its all about adapting makes it fun,

Start most days at the shop. Meet with the team and head out to service or inspection calls. The service team is a good bunch of guys that you can joke around with but still get the work done. 

One of the best bosses I've ever worked for. Some of the questions dont apply to my situation, but the level of professionalism shown by KE was really great, I ended up leaving but would go back to work with Kristian for sure given the opportunity. Fantastic company !!
