KTX Insurance Brokers

KTX Insurance Brokers is a great place for employment. Many opportunities when it comes to growing with the company. Also, never a dull moment with free lunches, social Fridays, and work parties. 

Very easy communication with management and HR. Anytime I had any sort of issue or mess I was dealing with - the management team, along with the senior brokers were more than willing to stop what they were doing to help out. 

KTX was always extremely willing to teach their employee's and they also offer the opportunity to take a day to sit with any other department to see how the company runs. I found this extremely helpful.

I highly recommend KTX Insurance Brokers as your next work place.

Met some great people here and had some great times with those people. I even had a great team lead which definitely made the job easier. But let me tell you this management is awful. I cant believe the audacity to say some of things they did. It can be a very toxic work enviroment with the company intentionally making it difficult to hit certain targets. I watched an amazing employee who exceeded targets month after month get shafted by being put into lots of "New initiatives" that basically cut his bonuses in third. I was a middle of the road employee in terms of sales and sometimes my bonuses were bigger than his. Moral of the road apparently at this company is do not be to good at your job. I will say it was nice having free lunches here every two weeks but it does not unfortunately make up for the terrible bonus structure this company has. 

They pay for and train you to be certified as an insurance broker, and while the content is quite dry, the teachers do their best to set you up to succeed at the test. The real problem begins once you hit the floor.

Fundamentally, KTX is a call center. They make it very clear that if you are underperforming, you won't keep your job. That said, the management is actually quite friendly and want to help, and they provide free lunches and alcohol to those that want it every Friday.

The commission rates are horrible for a brokerage. Typically an average policy will net you ~$10. For hours of work. Not really worth it.

KTX cares about their employees. We are a family. If you are struggling, someone will be there to give you the tools to succeed. There is a great work/life balance, and yes, the work can be stressful, and the head cheeses know this. Which is why there are so many options to get up and take a break if necessary, or talk to someone. 
I have never worked within a company that wants each individual to succeed. They are constantly changing and adapting to the growth within the company (was only 10 brokers in January, pushing 70 right now), and it's nice to see that they take our input and try to apply it where/when it makes sense. It's truly an amazing company, and would not change it for the world.

My experience with KTX has been a largely positive one.

Great staff and management meet an exciting, fast paced environment. 

Everyone is very friendly and willing to help. 

There are plenty of opportunities of advancement and an uncapped commision.

Being in a sales role, there are obviously targets to hit, but they are certainly quickly attainable. 

The company as a whole listens to their employees; making several upgrades and changes based on real feedback.

I have already recommended friends and family to work here and they are also enjoying their experience.

My experience with this company was amazing. The targets are easily achievable. The management is highly supportive. The best thing about the company is the culture and the people you work with at the company. 

The compensation is great - great base salary and uncapped commissions. Hard work definitely pays off. You can work out of Downtown Toronto and Hamilton office. There is also the flexibility to work from home. 

Lots of extracurricular activities. Pool, ping pong and foosball table.

The stress you go through working here isn’t worth any amount of money. They expect you to sell one or 2 policies a day and push back on apps with silly things.. but you need to do underwriting and call backs and take your 7 calls on top of that and if you have to stay late.. your not getting paid more for that. Management has no idea how to teach people how to manage that work load or organize their systems to work efficiently. They will tell you to figure it out and clients are abusive.

Do you love working with peo, You will love the fast pa, As clients will be calling back to b, Use your customer service skills to defuse some tense, 

The workflow is worse than that paragraph. Before you even finish assisting one client you can expect to be inundated always behind and understaffed.

Morale can be even lower as the strong company culture encourages teamwork - and out of nowhere teammates will disappear.

Work is mentally challenging. Opportunity to learn constantly. Most helpful management staff I've ever encountered and teams are always there for you regardless of question or work knowledge. Never felt alone or burdened while working here. Amazing teamwork is encouraged at all times and I've never worked at a place with more support than with KTX Insurance Brokers. From individual team members through to the CEO everyone is just there when you need help and receptive to feedback.

Great job opportunity for those starting off but I dont see myself for advancement in the near future. As a well known insurance brokerage,  they dont pay there employees fairly for the amount of work thats involved.  Lack of organization from management and the sense of teamwork in this company is far from there. More of a call center environment.
