A normal day would be receiving the papers to deliver. You could either deliver them from the time they are dropped off, 4 am to 6 pm. The only downside is during winter or rainy conditions it's not as fun and pleasant. The most enjoyable part of this job was interacting with the customers and being able to brighten there day with small talk. Over my years of working as a delivery person, I learned about my different customers and was able to make every experience with them personable.

It was a decent starting job, it was hard work but it gave me a feeling of accomplishment. The only down sides were the amount of papers that needed to be delivered and the pay, delivering 150+ papers 3 times per week and only getting payed around $120 doesn’t feel like a agreeable compensation.

I would get up, put the newspapers in my car and drive and then I would delivery them door to door by walking, with a trolly. I got to exercise and enjoy the out doors,
some times the hardest part of delivering papers, is maybe running into barking dogs, (Beware of dogs)

This was a good starting job in the spring, summer, and fall. Once it got cold, rainy, and snowy, it became increasingly more difficult to walk around with a wagon for 2 hours. I liked seeing dogs and cats while in the neighborhood, but not creepy construction men or hail storms or the poor wage from the job.

will hire near anyone, hours are on your own time, so thats a bonus. only thing is that they dont pay you for the time, they pay you for the job. I feel as if a pay raise for all workers would increase the feel of the company.

I left this position in 2014 because the pay was not worth the work and time put into the job. I wanted a better paying job for myself, so i quit and began the search then fell into my volunteering.

The pay is low and the late night hours are really hard on a person. Not to mention all the lifting and packing of papers to the carriers.

Doing this three times a week was sort of just forced upon me and was a lot for someone to handle who never had a job before this. I appreciate having this job but it just wasn't right for me so after a year I quit.

I walk from my house and go to about 40 houses.The hardest part of my job is remembering all the houses that don't want a newspaper. I like this job because it gives you a lot of exercise.

Working as a carrier for Kamloops This Week was always a struggle. Each paper would cost about 10 cents each, therefore pay was low. I would earn approximately $6 for each day of 2 hour work, 3 times a week.
