Management sucks at this company, the project managers constantly forget to order materials and you are in a fight with your site supervisors

Low pay for apprentices and journeyman,  Overtime is capped at 12 hours a pay cheque. They dont pay stat holidays. 

Drive time for out of town work is only paid 1 way.  Shared accommodations anywhere you go so you work and have to live with the same people.

No room for advancement here either.  The best thing about them is that they have a lot of work but its 75% out of town work.

Low wage, poor management, poor material management 

Foremen do as little as possible while taking all the credit.
You will constantly be out of material because the guy that had one job (ordering material) just happened to forget.

Worked for the company a handful of years ago, overall it was an alright company to start out my apprenticeship with. Learned a decent amount of things from the journeyman that I was working with. They were a little bit on the fast paced side compared to other companies that I've worked for, but a good one to start out with if you're planning on getting into the trades.

Depending on the stage of the job site you could be doing anything from running underground PVC pipe, running EMT pipe, pulling wire, terminating devices, installing cover plates. I worked mainly with the out of town crew, I had an overall good experience with this company.

Very good place to learn, but not the safest for long term health. Forced to work inside with other trades hammer drilling constantly. Sweeping dust in the air. Good management though.

Management was amazing at this family run business. The project managers were always there for the field foremen and very helpful. The pay is very fair and they try their best to keep everyone busy even during slow times, which is common in the industry. I would highly recommend this company!

Day to day was good, most people are easy to get a long with and know what they are doing.

They teach you a lot and give you lots of learning experiences.

Owner is awesome and cares about his employees, project managers are okay.

Management is lack luster and apprentices are blamed for things way above their knowledge and pay grade. If being yelled at and demoralized consistently is your kind of environment then look not further.

I worked at Kamwin for around 10 years, I have nothing bad to say about them. Kamwin has the best workmanship out of any company I've worked for. All of the owners are great people.

I owe everything I am as an electrician to Kamwin. Good work environment and knowledge. Theyre out of town Crew breeds champions and I hope to be able to work them again one day.
