A typical work day consists of continuous email correspondence, branding approvals, work orders, material requisition orders, business card orders, assistance with event planning, vendor selection, supply monitoring and replacement, assistance to HR, Business Development, Finance, general office management and administration.
I have learned to work alone, problem solve, plan and create procedures.
Management and supervision is minimal.
Co-workers are helpful, positive and friendly.
The hardest part of the job is fact-finding and completion with little guidance.
The most enjoyable part of the job is autonomy and ability to make decisions.

Kentz provides plenty of chances to improve in your field as well as working in other fields. They encourage and provide opportunity for growth. 
Food and accommodation is paid for, the rotations are ideal and always open for discussion.
They take safety very seriously and have management and team members that are open minded and very easy to approach.
No question is too silly, workers are always at hand to answer any queries about job at hand.
They provide all on-site needed training.

Very select few gain access to the politics within Upper Management , and from one project to another your support is limited , ex: Commissioning Project sent in with no Equipment no supplies no tools no materials to do the Commissioning of the Fiber Scope Unorganized detrimental sink or swim but barely keep your head above water, On the upside the Construction aspect they were full support and limited delivery time to site , as its on a Piece work rate theres a little bit more Organization.

I was building hydro test packs, When it come to getting information, Ht #, welders ID the inspectors in the field were very helpful, just had to show them on the drawing which ones I needed and they would go and get the information you requested. The some goes for the MTR. Every one in the office got along very well, there was no contention between any body, every body was will to help out were ever they could. The management was very good, you could approach them very easy .

typical camp job, management treats employees really bad, bullying went on alot, learned alot from the failed project. Biggest disappointment was HR and management lied to the federal government to bring Irish workers into the country instead of hiring canadians. Irish based company that doesn't respect the canadian laws, trying to bypass the canadian tax system

Very much favoritism to east coast people and especially french people... Way too much micro managing, it doesn't matter what you know... The foreman and above are always right. Working in AB easterners got paid flights and any flight times they asked for...while Albertans got no compensation and only late flights!

I loved working at Kentz, I had to leave due to personal reasons but if I hadn't I'd probably still be there ;) The people were kind, management was understanding and they cared about employees. The salary was very good and there was always room for advancement. Kentz supported employees development and gave us access to different type of training.

Management is very disorganized and the frustration is passed down the line to the frontline employees. I worked at the LNG Canada project in Kitimat. Most foremen I either witnessed or heard of were on some type of drug or another creating a toxic environment. Stay clear of this company!
