Working at Keystone Excavating was the best dirt company I have every worked for, all heavy equipment is well maintained by professional mechanics that arrive armed to the teeth with tools, parts and solutions, all gravel trucks and pups/equipment trailer very well maintained and dressed up to the point you are proud to sit in the seat and be a truck driver, supervisors and office staff are top notch and for some reason it is in there nature to be helpful and nice, finding solutions to problems isn’t always easy but with their experience one is always found and you will be better off moving forward.
Bottom line if they open up again apply apply apply, keep in mind if you don’t fit in you can go work somewhere else that fits you….. do your best to fit in, be extremely professional.

The skills you learn on a day to day basis and knowing i did a good job. The management is always there if you need them. My co-workers are very helpful and were always growing together. The hardest part of the job is doing work that you have not done before. The most enjoyable part of the job is getting paid for a hards day of work and a job well done.

I worked long days when it was required. I started off shoveling gravel and worked my way up to operating various types of packers. Some days I worked alone with no supervision and other days required that we worked together as a team to get the job done in a timely fashion. On a daily basis I was required to complete a time sheet, do a safety evaluation of the work site, and ensured that all tools were picked up at the end of the shift. For a short time I worked in the office processing hazard assessments.

Talking about lay offs and I need to work all winter to support my family, other than that it is an amazing company and would reccomend it to anyone

Great environment and place to work with plenty of outside of work gatherings to promote team building. Management all the way up to COO was always willing to listen to employee input  on changes that could help further the organization .

Loved working here. Management was great and the work culture was terrific. Work/life balance was good, management treated me fairly, and employees were productive because they enjoyed working there.

pre trip drive to site then drive in circles or sit and wait. Lacks communication between management and workers. Unless you are in "the group" you get treated pleasant if not u get frowned on.

I grew so much as a person working for Keystone, I started my Safety career with them. I got to meet so many great people and learned so much. Just all around an amazing experience.

Good atmosphere and fast paced. Lot of new things to be learned. Great owner and management for the most part. Fun family oriented work place. Decent money and benefits package.
