Typical day would start off scrambling and hassling management to try and find out what you're doing, if you weren't sitting on the crew bus with nothing but a book or your thoughts waiting for work to pop up, or be rounded up to go back to camp.

Management wasn't good. Sit in their ivory tower and look down at you. They talk the talk of work culture and safety to save themselves, but when it comes down to it they don't walk the walk. 

Lying about future work and layoffs. 
(E.g. Management said first thing in the morning meeting of fly day to "squash rumors" of lay offs. Says there's plenty of work. Gives an example with another employee in the crowd of how busy they were the prior year. Come back from the week off and about half of the workforce was gone. Did the exact same show to the cross shift as well). Mass hire when they need you then throw you away when they're done with you 

Majority of the workforce was the typical egotistical highschool cliques. However the foreman all seemed good to work for and tried to set you up for success. 
Work was enjoyable. Good and steady when there was work for everyone to do. 

Pay is mediocre
They'll brag about the newer equipment they have, but they are all very damaged and poorly taken care of for their age. 

Only reason I didn't give 1 star was the work was actually good and enjoyable when you had it. 

Wouldn't recommend unless you're in a pinch and don't need job security. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
If your sick, tired, or have a personal issue, they understand. And if you need  to catch up on sleep or if your sick they accept the fact you need a day of rest. The mean what they say when it comes to safety, and listen to the operators if the equipment isn't working properly.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working with people that can't keep there cool MD cause problems is the most stressful part of the job.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is the same as anywhere else. If you do your job and steer away from the drama and show up ready to contribute 100% of your talent and experience, you won't have any problems.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day or night is pretty good usually. I'm there to work and be an asset to the company in various ways. I show interest in running other equipment and always try my best. The hours are long, the roads are rough and the equipment is always breaking down. I'm there to make a living and be apart of a team of talented people that support each other.

There team your work family they work together if  one looks good we look good

My on problems, they work together to solve any work issues or bosses said it’s up for success and the team brings up together

Upbeat and fun it was a joy to go to work

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Toolbox meeting talk about safety and the scope of the work. What we’re doing paperwork your FLHA Which is ongoing, you fill out through your shift you do a walk around with the equipment and fill out an equipment inspection sheet you start to fill out your load sheet  and start the work at hand you get 3  20minute breaks during the day you might get some directions over the radio or you might just be joking around over the radio with your friends and colleagues, maybe even the foreman everybody’s friends it seems enjoyed working there very much

Days are long, you get hired on for working 12 hours and they've changed it to working 13.5 hour days doing hot change. They changed this without speaking to employee's or receiving consent . You have no time to yourself you only have the option to eat, sleep, work repeat. The bus ride is 35 minutes to and from site, so you loose more time there. You have zero change of a work life balance when you are there. If you want to talk to your loved ones, it's coming out of your sleeping time. Then they ask you if everyone is well rested and fit for duty at the toolbox every morning....The higher management isn't that great and the pay is a joke. They promise you one thing and do another. The incentive bonus they used to have changed to a safety bonus and there are so many unreasonable perimeters you have to meet. It's basically an easy way for them to not pay it to you.

Nothing really stressful , work as a competent operator do your job everything is fine

Work safe first and foremost , planning work for crew , ensure crew have the proper equipment t to perform the tasks safely

Very poor management.  Absolutely disorganized. Always lying to employees.

Unprofessional supervision sometimes put you on line of fire.

Bad. No dust control, all management smoking in the trucks.

This company is a bunch of clowns.most unprofessional company I have ever seen. Treat there employees like garbage and lack respect

A few of the crew members are ok. This is a highly toxic company to work for.

Soul suckingly horrible. Overworked and under payed.

The Foreman, GF and higher ups are the most unprofessional and toxic group of people I’ve ever worked for. This company is unsafe, unprofessional and unethical. The fact that Suncor does business with a company like this is mind blowing.
