If you are looking for a place of work that “fills your cup” then Kids Uncomplicated is the place for you! My position was incredibly rewarding and I went home everyday with the feeling that I was making a big difference in my community. I loved the families and kiddos that I was able to meet and support during my time at KU. It is very clear that the parents in the program are there to genuinely learn how to best support their child in the context of their disabilities. I also adored the team at KU. I was able to work closely with the leadership team as well as the clinical team, and every team member is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and supportive. If you need any help or have questions you can ask anyone at KU and they would be more than happy to assist. I always felt like there was an “open door” policy at KU and that made me feel very comfortable asking for help without any hesitations. There are many opportunities to advance and grow as well! My role expanded very quickly and I was able to learn new skills early on. KU is an amazing company and the work they do for families is so impactful. The work/life balance was another huge bonus of working at KU - the working hours are anywhere between Monday-Friday 8am-6pm but you are able to flex your days when necessary (i.e., work late one day and then end early the next). You are encouraged to take a break when needed and you can actually prioritize your own health and well-being too. I highly recommend KU!

I love working here because the work is meaningful and fun, the company has a very positive culture and I feel supported, valued and challenged. KU has great leadership which enables the staff to exist as a collaborative community where everyone's strengths are recognized. Everyone who works here is passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of children and families through evidence-based practice. We work hard and are highly dedicated and responsive to our clients' needs, so the work requires a high level of emotional presence which can sometimes be draining. Additionally, partnering with the Alberta Government in our work means that political shifts can affect our day to day functioning positively and negatively. Long and hard days are made up for in lieu, personal time, encouragement from the team and many, many very rewarding days.

If you ever wondered where all the mean girls go after high school, might I suggest Kids Uncomplicated.

Management sets up the Edmonton office for failure, encouraging individuals to compete for personal relationships with owner and manager in Calgary, which over distance, cannot be authentic.  Drama is rewarded, and emotional neediness is the immature cohesive element in both the Edmonton and Edmonton to Calgary relationships.

Every business decision is based on feelings, not facts.  Cattiness and exclusion are management methods in Edmonton.

There isn't much work.  The workload is skinny and the pay is bank.  There are no realistic expectations of staff.  It's actually a bit of a joke.

Kids Uncomplicated is a rare gem!  The staff are compassionate and caring towards the families they work with and each other! Teamwork is valued and encouraged. Kids Uncomplicated offers amazing benefits and competitive salaries. Management encourages Professional Development and harnesses staff strengths.

Very positive work environment, very focused on supporting families to reach their goals. Lots of support and training when entering a new position. The company trys to promote from within. There is a lot of collaboration between disciplines to troubleshoot and develop motivating activities for children to learn new skills.

The Team at Kids Uncomplicated is passionate, diverse in knowledge and experience and creates a work environment of constant learning and support. The management team has an open door policy for communication and addressing concerns. A small group of passionate professionals doing important work can change the world.

The first sign of trouble, they fire you, with no warning.  They do not try to work with you to train you, they just fire you, even if you've passed the probationary period.  The management do not talk to each other and often disagree with each other to the staff.  They often do not know what to do, or how to do their jobs.

Kids Uncomplicated is the best place I have ever worked.
The environment here is collaborative and supportive with a staff that really cares about supporting children and families. 
There are also lots of opportunity to grow and learn. The hours are also very flexible which allows for a great work-life balance.

Everyone is so positive and passionate about their work here!  Teams help each other out and I never hesitate to ask questions or for support.  Management at Kids Uncomplicated highlight/encourage staff to work to their strengths and really let you be creative.
